This lol.... LOG's sarcasm meter is broken.

I've said many, many times that I have nothing against Ross. He'll prob. be a solid pro like DD. But I highly doubt he's going to be an All-Star and I doubt even more that he'll have more impact on the game than Drummond.

I honestly see him eventually being a Jamal Crawford type of player with defense. Nothing wrong with that imo.

Just turned 19, 6'11, 275 pounds, just a beast. His ceiling is a lot higher than Ross' just based on his physical attributes alone. He would have been more of a risk higher in the draft, but at 8 it was the perfect pick. I just hope passing on him doesn't come back to haunt us 2-3 years from now. It didn't matter if we had Valanciunas or a bloated front court, we should have picked the best talent available. Centres hold a lot of value in this league. He may very well be better than Valanciunas when it's all said and done.

hahahaha why thank u sir, I'd argue he's probably better than him defensively right now. Valanciunas is getting beat up time and time again in the post. It comes with being a rookie centre and I think Valanciunas has the work ethic and skill to get better. I'm not writing him off. We get Hollinger's endorsement, and everyone goes crazy about Valanciunas. No way I'm I arguing that Valanciunas is a bust or isn’t a good player, but to say definitively that Valanciunas will be better than Drummond is way to premature.

SHEESH!!

i wouldn't be so sure neither of them proved anything (Ross included) any of them could end up a bust or a star

I'm not sure any non-raps fan would say they'd take Ross over Drummond right now. Ross hasn't shown any signs of being an above average wing, though it's still very early. Drummond has shown signs he could be a very good post, through sheer athleticism alone it's hard to imagine he won't match a Deandre Jordan level career.

Both guys are very raw, but I honestly believe every GM in the league would take Drummond if we could do our pick over. This isn't to say Drummond will for sure develop, and Ross will never put it all together, but to say Ross is still the right pick right now is tough to justify.

i don't see the logic behind discussing whether it would have been better to draft drummond instead of ross, i mean we ended up with ross, accept it!!

ross may not seem close to drummond talentwise but nobody here can say, that he didn't show glances of big time talent; we have gotten ross, he has the tools to become a very good player (maybe not all-star talent but high-end) and i hope he'll learn enough to be very valuable for our team in the future, i couldn't care less about drummond, he's not here :cookie:
