It's cute how the Bargnani fangirls all cuddle together to defend the honor of this website. Anyone who posts negative things about your favorite player you call a troll and beg the mods to ban.

LOL he can't shoot ft's, never could. He's consistent at something at least.

we the "fangirls" don't all cuddle together to defend the honour of this website. the honour of this website is maintained through the mods who allow this to be a space of intellectual, and sometimes silly/funny discussion, with minimal insults. we provide arguments, back them up, and have debate. the one thing on this forum that's frowned upon is insulting other members which I personally have recieved penalties for before. Now I know I'm not a mod on this site but please, don't insult someone because they are backing up their point in a professional manner

bargn88 got yo back yo!

stop whining and put everyone on IGNORE already.

I think Terrence can still prove more valuable than Drummond, but bigs are always more valuable.... so it's tough

So.... we're judging players' entire careers based on their faults that are shown in their rookie season?

Cool.

Terrance Ross... Guy is supposed to be a shooter right?

39% FG, 27% 3P, 40% FT

May as well cut him.

No worries guys huge game for Ross tonight. He has to make some shots today after last night (esp when he hit that backboard on the wide open 3??)

Don't backpedal now.

What'd you say/imply about Drummond?

1. That he can't pass (which isn't uncommon for rookie bigs)

2. That he can't shoot FTs (which isn't uncommon for rookie bigs)

3. That he has a poor motor and lacks drive (Hmmm... how long have you ben scouting Drummond? Did you watch a lot of his HS games?)

Those criticisms are as ridiculous IMO since MANY, many rookies struggle with similar things in their first season as they adjust to the NBA game.

If "being a Drama Queen" = calling you out on B.S. then yes... I certainly am.

When Drummond is starting and dominating I'll be sure to remind you of this lol.

This guy's shooting has been pretty weak. One thing I've been looking at is the idea of FT% in college being the best indicator of shooting ability. Ross only at 75-76% his two college years. Beal, Ross and Barnes were all in the 70s in FT% and have been very disappointing shooting.

OTOH you look at Lillard, he was 89% in college. Paul George and Kyrie Irving and Steph Curry and Klay Thompson were 85-90% guys. Many of the elite shooters were 80%+ in college. Not all of them but I wonder if it's worth it to trust a guy's shooting ability if he's not putting up those eye popping numbers

No BS, Drummond dominate? Maybe in spurts here or there but his game has so many holes he'll become exposed the moment Detroit attempts to focus the game through him.

That is very interesting. FT% is usually overlooked since it's a stationary target with no man in your face. However, the mechanics would all be in play regardless of the situation.....that is interesting....

could also be attributed to handling stress. shooting free throws can and normally are more stressful than in play. I was a near perfect free throw shooter in practice, and slightly above 80 percent in game, while I nearly always drained the open mid range jumper. in play you're more focused on the game and less stressed about missing, it's more automatic for some, while free throws can get to you with fans screaming in your face.

just to throw that out there

20 games in to the season we already decide that Ross is a shitty shooter
you might wanna look up Kobe's stats early in his career.. Here ill save you some time,

year FG 3PT FT%
96/97 41.7% 37.5% 81.9%
97/98 42.8% 34.1% 79.4%
98/99 46.8% 26.7% 83.9%

not very impressive is it?He has even worse numbers from 3pt in different parts of his career, have in mind this is after whole season, not 20 games. Plus I would asume that playing in Lakers he got much more open shots than Ross does in Raps. And Ross shooting 40% ft's, he atempted 5 in total, missed 3 and made 2, not exactly big enough sample to jump in to conclusions.
