It's smooth, but yeah, it seems like he's missing a lot of open looks and some not even close. That baseline three off the backboard.... maybe he's just rushing? I don't know.

you just hope that a guy with good mechanics will figure it out, at some point. derozan figured his shot out (at least inside the arc) and his mechanics were and still are terrible.

If the draft was re-done, Drummond would be a top 3 pick. Another BC blunder, Drummond will be game changer in a couple of years, Ross is a fringe starter (Courtney Lee) who will be supporting cast, compliment player.

I don't understand this forum sometimes.... We all CLEARLY watch our team get mauled on the glass and pushed around down low due to a lack of legit size.... and 10+ people still want to take another shooter?

All I can say is that he'd better turn out to be Ray Allen to make it worth it.

I think that people are starting to overrate the kid now just based on a game where he had those 4 UNCONTESTED dunks.

I agree, except Ross still has a chance to be better than C.Lee.... not saying it's likely, but a chance. I like C.Lee as a player though, but Drummond could be a beast. We could have used him in Sactown.

If we had our pick for this year, kept the core intact minus our trade assets, clear some space for the summer, that would be something to look forward to.

This isnt close. Drummond is going to be a very good defensive center, with potential to be a good to very good offensive player as well. His impact on the game will be much larger than Ross, unless Ross does turn in to a Ray Allen clone, which is highly unlikely. Just another mistake by BC.

Drummond's stats are exactly ground-breaking. Or maybe I'm just not seeing the star potential that you guys are.

DD rookie year had everything handed to him and everybody where saying he will be next Kobe. Ross shows more than DD in his rookie season with limited minutes and you compare him to C. Lee?

I'll take Ross over Drummond. A wing player that is athletic, plays defense and can shoot. I also believe Drummond will end up being a headcase, and his reputation for having motivational issues turn me of the idea of having him here.

DD came in at 18 years old.. Ross isn't 18. Just acknowledge that bit. I like Ross, but to expect him to grow as much as Demar has needed to grow to get to this point is not reasonable.

His stats aren't going to be mind-blowing with the minutes that he sees every night.

He's shooting almost 60% and he's avging 6 rebs and over 1 blk/gm.... in less than 20 min/gm.

If he had starters minutes it's a safe bet to say that he'd avg 10 & 10 with 2 blks/gm..... and those would be SOLID numbers for a rookie big. Not to mention what others have already said... he changes the game when he's out there. Ross doesn't.

you have to be 19 to be drafted in this day and age, so he was actually 19...but we're splitting hairs here...

now that i think about it, his birthday is in august, so he would have been 20 by the raps' season opener.
