I really can't see MU trading Ross at this point. He plays very solid D and needs the time to improve and also get stronger. I like him so far and would hate to see him traded. Having said that though, I like Afflalo as well.

This.

This is the Ross I remember from Washington. I'm telling you, if he went to a bigger school, more people on this board would've given him a bigger leash. Kid can play and he's adjusted to the NBA 3.

I always said he reminded me of Derek Anderson and a better, more offensively gifted Tony Allen.

Best case scenario I see him becoming a Latrell Sprewell caliber of player and that's pretty darn good.

Pretty bad comparison considering most people remember Spree for being a cancer and choking his coach!

I've been impressed with his quickness since his rookie season, wasn't sure if he'll ever develop an offense because he was very raw, but I've always believed he will be a great defender. He lacks elite size, but he's one of quickest wings in the league, he glides on the floor. When you see him next to demar moving, it's like watching grandpa and his young son playing pickup basketball

He does not lack size or length for a SG which is why he can fill in at SF.

I remember that incident. Spree choked our former assistant coach P.J. Carlesimo, who at the time was Golden States head coach during the 97-98 season. Guy was a good ball player, but like you said a much bigger cancer than anything else.

Spree was an awesome player and ferocious compettitor when he was sane though. If Ross ever got to his level of play then we'd have one of the better 2 guards in the league.

I like the Derek Anderson and Eddie Jones comparisons the most though.

Most SF don't post up anymore these days, which is why Ross could get away with playing the 3...everybody wanna be an elite guard even many of the big men.

Yep. He pretty much willed that NYK to the finals along with Camby and Houston and was still very good with KG and Cassell in Minny. It's a shame that he lost his head and didn't play a few more seasons. Very exciting when he was on his game.

As for Ross.... he's starting to impress me. He's got a ways to go and I'd like to see a bigger sample size but I enjoyed watching him play in that last game vs. IND.
