Default Teams with lower win% that you would trade rosters with

This is an idea that seems kind of cool, out of all the teams with a worse win % than us, which would you prefer their rosters over ours, if any, thinking either long-term or short-term, whatever.

Teams with lower win % than us:
Pistons
Cavs
Wizards
Bobcats
Hornets

Personally, I'd swap with both the Hornets and the Cavs. Hornets have two guys that seem to have a bright future ahead of them. Cavs have Irving who IMO has more value than our whole roster.

I'd also like to add that looking at that list really depressed me because it really shows how much of a bottom feeder this team is even after a 5 game win streak.

Hornets, Cavs, and probably the Pistons.

Hornets- They have Anthony Davis. Him alone makes me want to switch rosters. But you also have Vasquez who's quickly improving. Eric Gordon, who if he could ever stay healthy would be a top 5 SG, and a very nice 1-2 punch with Davis going forward. Ryan Anderson, who is proving everyone including myself wrong about him, as hes shown great versatility this year, and is proving to be one of the best 3 point shooters in the NBA. And lastly, they have all of these players, but are also in a good cap situation. If they stay healthy, they're a good SF away(and some smart bench player signings) from the playoffs if Davis does develop as quickly as he is.

Cavs- They have less pieces than the Hornets, but again, they have the one dynamic player that can turn around a franchise in Kyrie Irving. Plus they, like the Hornets, are in a good cap situation I believe moving forward. If they can get a good player in the lottery this year, and Waiters can grow up in the next 2-3 years, as well as them keeping Varejao, they should have a good team moving forward. If we included management in this equation, then I probably wouldnt take the Cavs though.

Pistons- In the same sort of sense as the teams above, they have a dynamic frontcourt on their hands, who alone arent as good as Davis/Irving, but together could form the best frontcourt in the NBA in 2 years time. Add in Singler, Knight, and another lotto pick, and you have a nice young team who could turn in to a powerhouse in 2-3 years time if the frontcourt does develop.

With us, we have a couple of good young players in Val, Ross, and Derozan, but together they dont form a team that could turn in to something special going forward, and I dont think Val is a blue chip piece like Davis or Irving. We have a bad cap situation with a bunch of bad contracts to mediocre players. And unfortunately for us, we're stuck with most of our bad contracts for the next 2 years. One can only hope we can turn Jose/Bargs in to something to help rebuild this crappy roster.

2 reasons:

1. Irving is a star.
2. Davis could very well be a star.

hornets and maybe cavs, irving will be a star, but I don't think he will be a winner. It's extremely difficult to build a winning team around a star that is not a great defender. Dallas is the only team that did it in recent memory, but Dirk was a truly unique player, irving is a more common scorer.

If we continue to build around this roster, I'd rather have their, but I still hope the next GM will restart rebuilding and hopefully we'll get a chance to nab a better star than irving in the next 3-4 years.

By the end of January, there will be more teams to consider. The Raps will likely pass Sacramento, Phoenix, and Orlando.

I wouldn't swap with any of them. They suck for a reason.

lets think about this logically, what would be the reasons why 1 of those teams would look "better" than us, only real reason is that they have better player(s) than us, and in the nba the only thing that really matters in the end are the "star" players, so the only 2 players I see worth swapping for are Kyrie Irving and Anthony Davis, so those 2 are the only teams i would even think about trading rosters with

If they really have better players than us than why aren't they winning more? This is horseshit, those teams might have 2 or 3 players that I would swap with 2 or 3 players from our team but I wouldn't take any of those teams' rosters as a whole over ours.

Wins =/= talent. Look at the kings, full of top 10 picks, 1 win ahead of us, but still struggling mightily for the last few years.

Cavs - Irving is a beast. Best player on either team. They will get another top 5 pick this year most likely. Have Waiters to also build around. A lot of cap space coming up in the future to add some pieces. But the main reason is IRVING.

NOH - Davis. Enough said.

Basically this. Only the Hornets and Cavs have a talented enough player to build around while also having cap space for miles. Detroit almost has as many bad contracts as us and the Bobcats have little talent. The Wizards are just plain cursed. We'll never be a playoff team with Landry Fields, Amir Johnson and Andrea Bargnani as our starting front court and we're in cap hell to boot.

I think a better question is which of those teams would trade their roster for ours.

I don't think any would.
