Question Is this team playoff bound next season?

At the end of the game Bayless said he hopes to make the playoffs next season. Do you think this club will be playoff bound? Assuming we draft a good player and a couple trades go down I think we'd have a good chance. I actually hope we make the playoffs, the last thing I want is for this team to turn into the Timberwolves. If we end up tanking next season this team is doomed forever.

If not next season, then the season after. Our team just needs a C that can play big and a PG. But I want my C first

It would be nothing short of a miracle if we made the playoffs next year.
I see next season as a rookie "growing pains" year at best.

We don't need any PG - Jose and Bayless will do fine for a long time coming. We're lacking true Cs in height only as Amir/Ed play a lot of, if not the majority of their minutes guarding Cs, and fairly well too. The position I'm least confidant in is SF as Jonson is still raw, and we haven't gotten to see Kleiza's full game yet.

And to be honest, Bargs still has next year to bring his game up a notch, he knows he has to and has the talent to do it. In my mind it's either that or the year we get into the playoffs Bargs is going to be Sixth-Man of the Year, if you catch my drift.

Still way too early to speculate. Depends on who we get in free agency and trades.

But if the core stays the same, I'm calling 30 wins.

I really hope so. A rebuilding season like this is tough for people to show up night in and night out to support the team, but playoff season is when Toronto is at it's finest. The young guys would be amazed at the atmosphere the fans can create at playoff games at the ACC. Remember the Sea of Red?

EDIT: And for the sake of our sanity, at the very least they stay competitive.

I'm in that picture! That's me in the right hand corner. Wearing red.

Playoffs are a possibility. I don't see tanking being a part of the package, but then I don't see a full season in the books either. If this team is able to commit fully to defense, and provides the same amount of effort as they did this season, then it makes the playoffs.

With any trades this offseason, we could be like the Pacers next year, maybe better

I think we are pretty similar to Philly actually. Bayless is similar to Holiday in that they are both young and are still trying to find an identity. DeMar could easily be as good as Iggy this summer if he keeps at it, and Davis could be like our own Brand.

It's possible but I doubt it. Right now, the only teams I would say are guarantee's or close to it, are:

Miami, Boston, Orlando, Atlanta, Chicago, New York and possibly Philadelphia, but that's making a bold statement in itself.

Honestly, I think Milwaukee and Indiana are more Playoff ready than the Raptors, but who knows. Anything in this League can happen, for all we know the Raptors could hit gold in the draft or get a few Free Agents who gell with the team immediately and fill in some holes, not to mention player improvement in the off-season. Time will tell.

Love seeing that picture of the sea of red, Toronto is an amazing place during the playoffs.

I think we have a shot but then again anything can happen in a full season.

Too young and immature with the current roster.
Depends on draft and more importantly. do we add vets in the off-season. With some vets and a Center we then have a chance to make the playoffs.
