Arrow T.Jose Caldesports: Talkin' Turk

Quote:
Now, let's move on to the player Toronto fans have really been fretting over, Mr. Turkoglu. The big issue has been that Hedo has been complaining about not being a key part of the offence when Jack and Calderon are both in the lineup. Here's my response:

"You're lazy, Hedo. Don't blame your inactivity on other players or the coaching staff. Blame it on your diet. Blame it on your off-season. Blame it on your attitude. It's all on you."

Don't believe Hedo is lazy this year.... let's roll out the numbers:

CHARGES PER GAME
Previous 3 seasons: 0.15
This season: 0.03

STEALS PER GAME
Previous 3 seasons: 0.9
This season: 0.5

SHOTS AT THE RIM PER GAME
Previous 3 seasons: 3.6
This season: 2.0

FG% AT THE RIM
Previous 3 seasons: 57%
This season: 50%

His laziness really becomes a problem on D, especially when he's just standing a foot outside of the key waiting for a man to come to him, rather than him find the open man

COME ON MAN!!!!

Potentially Cancerous!

Is it just me?

I have noticed in games and on TV in the last weeks; other players are 'tuning out' from Hedo's comments (encouragment?/suggestions?/berating?) on the court after a play. To Wit - in the game at NYC, the TV showed Hedo talking forcefully to Andrea - with Andrea looking away. In a number of times on recent Telecasts, Hedo was showned to be sitting on the bench alone during a timeout, whilst the team is gather around the Coach for comments/instructions. Is he isolating himself or feeling less comfortable/part of the team? This development is extremely worrisome!

The worse thing for this team is not that Hedo is under-achieving in offense (false), or showing poor defense/effort (true), due to being out of shape (obvious); the worse that can happen is that he becomes a cancer to our team.

As a season ticket holder and a fan, all I ask/and deserve from Hedo, or from any player, is consistency in effort to do what he can to help the team win.

I don't think that is asking for too much.

This blog was referenced by one of the Raptors beat reporters.

I posted it because it discusses issues that effect the team.

I don't think that's such a bad thing.

The name says it all.Someone who wants to defend Calderon(like 2-3 here) The biggest problem is Hedo and Calderon both on the floor doesn't work.I've seen yesterday in 2 possesions that Hedo and Calderon didn't want to give the ball. That'll be a great problem in 1-2 weeks. One of them must go.For me I don't care which one
