Default T.Jose Caldeford: Two playoff scenarios

Quote:
Let's consider two scenarios: One where the Raptors beat the Bulls in their head-to-head matchup, and one where the Bulls win.

First, if Toronto beats Chicago on Sunday, for all intents and purposes, the race is over, regardless of what happens in the other games.

Chicago would need to make up 3 games in the remaining part of the schedule. So, they would need to go a minimum of 3-1 against Cleveland, New Jersey, Boston, and Charlotte, while Toronto would need to 1-3 or 0-4 against Boston, Atlanta, Detroit, and New York. What is the likelihood of Chicago going 4-0 combined with Toronto going 1-3? Or the likelihood of Chicago going 3-1 with Toronto going 0-4? I'd say about 2 percent.

Now, let's assume Chicago beats Toronto on Sunday. That would mean Chicago only needs to make up one game to overtake the Raptors in the standings. But that's still easier said than done. Assuming Toronto takes care of business against teams with nothing to play for (Detroit and New York), Chicago still needs to go 3-1 against their opponents to get the playoff spot. Again, this isn't very likely.

The big question is: Can Toronto take care of business against those poor teams without Chris Bosh?

Well last night threw a wrench into my predictions. That and the fact the Bulls are now at full strength again...it's not looking so promising. Sunday is still the big factor I think but the boys will have to dig down and find something they've not shown much of lately to pull this one off.

Same goes with Miami without Wade, Chicago without Rose, Charlotte without Wallace, Milwaukee without Salmons and even Bogut. Any of the teams outside the top 4 are all in trouble if their star player goes down.

Meh, if happens.... it happens (playoffs for Raps). I'm already emotionally exhausted from watching them play this season.

Okay, I thought maybe he was one of those "friend of a friend" guys who can be annoying or something. In the past, I might actually have been that guy.

I think will win against Chicago; reason is that Chicago hasn't really challenge the real us yet. They have fought us in Nov and Dec but during that time this team wasn't even a proper team yet. Within these 4 months Toronto have fought many tough battle and also weak team that drove them into close games but they can't be compare to the raptor that was 4 month ago. I hope everyone remember the past couple weeks they have fought hard but stupid Cleveland has to screw us over making us lose Bosh, then on Thursday not play lebron and lose to Chicago. Seriously if Toronto Make to playoff and when Cleveland come to town everyone should boo at Mike Browns; mark my words Toronto will make them pay.

I was thinking the same thing.Cleveland has done alot for us to go at them next time( that is if there is a next time...) The games after chicago must be wins.I can predict that The Bulls and Raps play a nice close game on Sunday.
