Question T.J. or Jose for Pacers 1st Round Lottery Pick?

Would you consider it? Keep in mind it likely would be a Top 5 selection too and maybe get them to throw in a Jeff Foster that would help us immensely with rebounding and defense. So, would ya?

Meanwhile, if the Pacers could unload Tinsley, that would leave the point guard position wide open. Beyond Memphis' Derrick Rose, the draft isn't expected to feature many top-flight pure point guards. If Indiana could package its pick to, say, Toronto to acquire either T.J. Ford or soon-to-be restricted free agent Jose Calderon, that would be worth considering.

I wouldn't trade TJ right now, I would wait another summer. He's playing so well, that if he makes it through a whole season, he would get selected to the all-star game. That way we can get a lot more money for him when we do trade him. If Jose can understand this - and is willing to play from the bench one more season, then I would keep both for one more year.

TJ won't be in the all-star game. You don't get 2 ASG players without being a top 5 team in the conference. Right now I have no reason to believe we'll be higher than 6 or 7 next year (Boston, Detroit, Cleveland, Washington, Philly, maybe Atlanta will be better). And he won't have enough minutes to put up really great stats.

The Pacers aren't headed for the top 5 though, are they? They're 9th in the East. Depending on whether they beat NJ or not, they'll have the 9th or 10th pick most likely.

even so, a great season, without injuries, would increase his value dramatically. Maybe to the point where you could get signficant value in return. Of course, if we can get something good this off-season, than sure, trade him.

My point though is that we shouldn't trade him now, when his value is probably at a low.

I don't know much about TSE, but to me Tj look like one of those blue chips, where the value from one day to another plumb all the way down!!. And another season watching Tj rollercoaster showcase, no way.:konfus:

That pick will be 11-13. If Foster is included in the deal, I'll grab that hands down and select Russell Westbrook/OJ Mayo..I would say Batum, but that kid's stock is sinking quickly.. like a stone.. it almost reminds me of Chris Taft a few years ago who was a top 3 pick all year and just dropped off the face of the earth.

Problem is.. all of this is coming at the expense of Bargnani..Here's another question: Would you do
Bargnani + Ford + Toronto's 1st for Jeff Foster, Danny Granger and Indiana's 1st?

I just threw it out there. I didn't give it much thought when I typed everything out and hit submit.
On second thought, it does look crazy.
