Heat Sun-Sentinel: Bosh for Beasley & Blount?

What would compound Wade's interest is if the Heat offers only a baby step of growth next year. A 48-win season. A one-round playoff advancement. Riley isn't one for burning a year, but that's essentially what next season would be: a year of graduate study for Beasley while Riley waits on the 2010 free-agent class.

That's the best case for building a championship, of course. It's perfect, really, assuming you sign Bosh as a free agent after next offseason. Bosh joining Wade and Beasley is the dream scenario. It's also a gamble.

Here's where you have to be Riley. You have to consider Bosh's other options. Cleveland will make Bosh its No. 1 target, too. If it has LeBron and a championship pedigree, can Riley be certain he wouldn't go there?

If Cleveland lands Bosh, there are other free-agent possibilities for the Heat, like Amare Stoudemire. But Stoudemire is a more diva personality, someone who wants to be king of a franchise, unlike Bosh, who is more accepting of a complementary role, as in the Olympics.

So there's the Armageddon scenario for the Heat: It advances only slightly next year, misses on Bosh, has the Knicks singing a siren song to Wade … and loses him.

....

Let's return to the premise: The best way to sign Wade this summer is to offer concrete evidence he can win big here. That means landing his friend, Bosh. They were Olympians together. They share the same agent. They respect each other greatly.

That's why the smartest move to make is trading the salary-matching pair of Beasley and Mark Blount to Toronto for Bosh.

OH MY GOD. Miami is not getting Bosh from us unless we get back, Beasley, Chalmers, 09 1st pick, 10 ist pick, 09 second round pick and Haslem. If not then they can fuck off because Maimi barely has any good pieces

Now that I actually read the article instead of just the title, I think this guy is evn a bigger douche. Beasley and Blount for Bosh. Wo the hell does this guy think Blount is, the greatest basketball player out there,. It hink this guy over values BLoount more then Beasley

sun-sentinal is doing there best to create rumours about bosh, they keep doing what Phil Jackson is doing in a round about way

Cleary there in love with the idea of trading Bosh for beasley obviously the dont believe in beasely to become the 2nd option, even Spoelstra is talkin abouth him coming off hte bench, either its poor development and not having patience to see it through or Beasley is a head case, but watching him play you can cleary see the ability

I do find it funny that alot of writers, when weighing in their value on Bosh, has him being worth ALOT less than many on here thinks he should retuen(ie: Multiple allstars, high draft picks)

Yeah - he's not worth much at all. The future of teams simply hinge on their ability to land him for next to nothing.

we value Bosh highly
but the croc reporter puts way to much value in a bench player and Beasley

fans of either team tend to come up with unequal values
its only equal when both sides agree, this is the job of the GM

I don't understand what happens at that paper - it's like they're printing all the rumours on the "Miami Heat trade scenario" topic at their realgm forum ...

If doug smith would write an article: "bargnani + marion for wade could be the best move for bryan colangelo", he would be destroyed on this board ...

Article just shows what I have been trying to say all year, only in Toronto do people place such a high value on Chris Bosh. He isn't THAT good.

He's damn good.

But he ain't fucking good.

I just read the article, and this guy is an imbecile. Not once in the article he asks himself the question "why would toronto do that?". he sounds just like those guys who keep coming with ridiculous trading scenarios in our favor (joey + kapono for hedu and so on...)

This trade is so bad. So so so so bad.

Im sure MVP is looking forward to the day we trade Bosh so he can watch our team move to St Louis.

lol it's not only in toronto, i believe some of the most respected minds in basketball hand picked him for allstar games and olympics. If you think some homer journalists article where he is wishing upon a star for a fleecing trade to make them a championship contender is proof of Boshs true value, then you midaswell believe me when i say Al Horford is worth more then d12

Or maybe many on here have him being worth a lot more than everyone else does? Who do you think is more likely to be accurate, outside sources or homer fans?

Why would Bosh at 26 with knee problems and requiring 20 mil+ over 6 years to lock him up, be worth more than a healthy 20 year old version of him who's locked up on a 5 mil/year rookie contract for a while? Whatever feeling you have between the difference between Bosh and Beasley over the next couple years, is easily made up for that price and age

There is nobody better than Beasley available on Chicago or Golden State. If Washington gets Rubio I'm sure we'll make a play for him. If it's just Chi/GS though, Beasley is the BPA and the most financially beneficial deal on the table.
