Summer 2010: Bosh To Flee To Orlando or WC Teams

Apparently Jay Mariotti from the Chicago Sun-Times knows something we don't here in Toronto. That being that we might as well enjoy having Bosh now because in two years he's likely as good as gone while either or heading to Orlando or one of the Western Conference teams. :cwm34:

Bosh will flee Toronto and look at Orlando and Western Conference teams.

And Wade? Which town is he from again? Depending on how the Heat perform the next two seasons with the player the Bulls didn't draft, forward Michael Beasley, Wade is capable moving on and signing elsewhere. If so, the Bulls would be as viable a destination as anywhere, particularly if Rose and Deng develop a bond and some of the other dopes grow up and start reaching their potential. Whenever he is asked about the future, Wade never commits fully to finishing his career on South Beach, a signal he'll have Fave Five openings on his cell phone. "A lot can happen in the next two years," Wade said a few days ago. The Bulls should interpret that as an invitation.

Good.

It's still too soon to predict what he'll do, but it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if he did test the market elsewhere that summer. :(

I just think this year we'll determine alot for him personally. If we disappiont this season and underacheive, then it could seal his fate and future here in Toronto.

Eventually he will have to move to make room for Bargs....who will be much better...hopefully we can move him for some wicked picks and a solid starter.

Don't ruin my morning.

Oh ya, I said I'd try and be more optimistic towards Bargnani this season didn't I? ;)

INSIDER 08-01-2008 10:37 AM

fine, the media wants to report that bosh is 'leaving' go ahead.
the thing that irks me is that this idiot refers to it as "fleeing".
bosh will "flee" toronto... as if he's fleeing from prison or some other terrible location.
that is what bugs me.

I don't think that we should even give a first thought, let alone a second thought, to what Mariotti says. He mostly only cares about Chicago and doesn't give a flying f*** about Toronto.

Superjudge 08-01-2008 12:03 PM

He's been emailed.

;)

Do it BC :p :dancing:

Also if JO plays well he might actually stay if they can fit in a few more pieces.

:dancing: Ahhh .... good ole' SJ ... what would we do without you?

Superjudge 08-01-2008 12:54 PM

its.....what I do.

Adequate Swag 08-01-2008 01:51 PM

I applaud the move SJ, but I dunno if you're likely to get a very legit response from him. This is probably a totally fabricated statement that he just casually tossed out there.

Mariotti is a pretty well documented dumbass. Being on ESPN inflated his ego just a tad. I mean, this guy covers Chicago sports for the biggest paper in the city, and is constantly criticized for not going in the locker room. How the hell are you supposed to properly cover the Cubs or the White Sox without speaking to Lou or Ozzie?

This guy gets blasted in print by other columnists at his own paper...he's that bad.

You'd be surprised what SJ can get out of writers Swag. He's had it out with a couple dolts named Stephen A. Smith and Marty York. ;)

Pretty amusing too. :giggle:

I'm not saying he won't be able to get a response.

I'm saying the response won't likely further Mariotti's argument.

Stephen A Smith and Marty York, while opinionated and often ridiculous, are intelligent basketball minds to some degree. They would likely be interested in explaining themselves and discussing their work.

Mariotti is a douchebag. I don't think a guy who is allegedly a huge prick is going to get engaged in a spirited debate about one off hand comment he made that really had nothing to do with the article.

I'm not doubting SJ's abilities to elicit a response from writers. I'm doubting Mariotti's abilities to back up that statement.
