Is it a stretch to think this could have been a 30+ win team
Bargnani will end the season missing 35 games out of a 66 game schedule. Is it a stretch to think that with him in the lineup for most of those games that we could have won 10 more games? I don't think that's much of a stretch at all. What would tank nation think of a 32 win season and a 1st round exit? Lol

I like the basketball we play without Bargnani. He had that magical stretch but it was all him.
If he could play with that passion while not being the focal point on offense every possession then I think for sure we could of been a .500 team. His first injury the team didn't know how to respond because previously Bargs was carrying them. Then he comes back and the team is moving the ball around and Bargnani seems only slightly engaged. I would love seeing this starting lineup. Jose Demar MKG Amir Jonas Key Bench Players - Davis, Anderson, Bayless Rouding out - Kleiza, Gray They wouldn't be as good next year without Bargnani, but they would be better in the long-run without him imo. |

I think next year we win 38 or so and win the atlantic (yes, sad I'm aware lol).
Then win the first round, then out the 2nd. Should be pretty hopeful going forward. |

Def would have been possible. 13-18 with him? And that included that stretch of games where he couldn't hit a shot or find his legs coming back from a long layoff.

see, if all the other division members suck, it'd mean our record would be better since we play a lot against each of em, what is it in a season, 5 per division rival?

ya without a doubt, with primo pasta in the lineup they are pretty much a
.500 team. Hopefully his injuries this year do not start a trend of inuries for the next few years. I really think this team can do well next year: val coming over (hopefully he is not a bust), another lottery pick, and add a decent small forward through offseason transactions and things are looking good. |

Orlando sucks more than anyone thought they would, New york sucks more than anyone thought they would
I remember someone on nbatv a couple weeks ago including the cavs as threats for that 8th seed I will suffer a heart attack if orlando slips out of the playoffs on the last day and then goes on to win the lottery if new york wins it maybe they don't take davis? and let him fall to the raps at no 2 ![]() |

The only way it would of happened is if he kept playing at an All-Star level, which isn't likely. If the guy isn't hitting all of his shots, hes completely useless to this team as he does nothing else.
I wouldn't mind seeing him and Demar go really. |

it's very possible (even quite likely) that the only player on this team who will be here in 3 years is ed davis. Demar and Bargnani may or may not last that long depending on their progress and all the other players are almost certainly not part of our long term future. therefore, making the playoffs only provides some cheap thrills for the fans, some extra cash for the organization and a chance for some of our outgoing players to raise their value (or drop it) under a greater spotlight. that being said, it's unlikely that we would have won 30+ games, but we would have gotten very close. If we were a 30 wins team, we don't beat Boston on Friday because they wouldn't have treated the game like a glorified practice session anymore. |

When he was playing at an allstar level early in the year, it wasn't only his shots that were falling, but his defensive effort and rebounding were also much improved.
