I'd definitely be interested in Flynn if we didn't have to give up anything substantial of value. He's been having a very off season (his numbers and minutes are Wayyy down, including his per 48 stats), but he's a very young, talented, explosive PG. He's actually kind of like a young, healthy TJ ford - also undersized at 6', but Flynn can actually dunk - he's got even more hops than Ford did!

With Rubio looking to come over, that kind of makes Flynn expendable. And with injuries to both Calderon and Bayless, getting another PG in here ASAP is a big priority - getting someone young and with lots of upside like flynn would be a coup.

It looks like a number of teams are interested in Flynn (apparently 7 of them are actively pursuing him: http://www.hoopsworld.com/Story.asp?...#ixzz19WKvMfD6 ). That means a bidding war is possible, which would be shitty. Still, it's definitely good to throw our hats in there.

completely disagree about any veterans at this point...what we need are pivotal YOUNG players to grow with the core we already have
anything else is just a band-aid at this point...and i'm sick of fucking band-aids

let's get a solid 3-4 year plan moving ahead now that CBWhore is gone...PLEASE

Don't worry, we'll take Flynn and Rubio will fall into our hands as well.

bayless' game might be more suited to that of a two-guard but at his height i think his future is at the point. as far as bayless and flynn are concerned i think it's six of one half a dozen the other. if you trade for flynn and are looking at a flynn/bayless or bayless/flynn combo at the point i think we're setting ourselves up for forderon 2.

unless we draft a PG and flynn or bayless are flipped for something next year, this move would be inconsequential imo.

I'd like Flynn in Toronto. Was a big fan of his when he was in Syracuse. Still young and talented. If it doesn't take a lot why not.

No we shouldn't. A 10Mil mentor who can't play D and play too safe. No thanks. Not that sold on flynn though.

What do you want Rubio for? 2 or 3 flashy passes per game?

I remember Flynn saying he'd be very happy if the Raptors drafted him and that Toronto is a beautiful city.

He's a scoring PF in a leage filled with better scoring PF's. Heck, he's like a shittier Bargnani with 2 more boards per game.

McGee, I would LOVE to have because he brings so much to the table and takes almost nothing off of it.

McGee is making next to nothing (about $2M per year for this year and 2 more), and is basically putting up the same numbers as Tyson Chandler for 1/6 the price. Tyson is a bit smarter and savvier on D, but McGee is really coming into his own this year.

Stats:

Chandler: 27 mpg, 66% FG, 78% FT, 8.6 pts, 8.9 rebs, 1.2 blocks, 3.3 fouls.

McGee: 27 mpg, 54% FG, 60% FT, 9.0 pts, 8.3 rebs, 2.5 blocks, 2.9 fouls.

Aside from Chandler's ungodly, league-leading FG% (no doubt in part because he plays with Kidd), and Chandler's fantastic efficiency due to his high FT%, McGee is fantastic ~30 min per game center who protects the paint, gets boards and garbage buckets, and has room to grow.
not the good thread ! LOL.
but i'm agree Mcgee will be huge here.

I'm down for getting Flynn in Raps uni as long as it doesn't cost too much...

Evans or Caldy & TPE & our Miami first for Flynn & Fillers would do it for me

Flynn is not a scrub lol... calling prospects scrubs isn't even a valid thing to do.

Bring Flynn here! It's like getting the lottery pick that never was.
