Stephen Jackson: We're a better team

"It's a game we should have won. We're a better team," Jackson insisted. "Things just went their way."

He may very well be right, but why not show a little bit of class.

Can anyone see a Spurs player saying this after they lost to the Nets?

The thing that I've enjoyed most about the last 5 or 6 games is that the Raps are finally showing some character on a semi-consistent basis.

Teams like ATL, DEN and CHA used to bully us and beat us down with their effort.

Certainly didn't look like that the last time that we played those 3 teams.

I like it.

Both teams had poor execution down the stretch. Likely the other team did not have clutch players like Carmelo or Wade to haunt us.

Charlotte is definitely better...they defend so well which will suit them in the playoffs quite nicely.

Sort of.. but I wanted to go back a bit further to incluse the ATL game.

And I don't think that we lost to OKC and UTH because we were bullied.... they just killed us with execution.

Small difference.

You don't lose by 30 at home only by being out-executed. We got manned-up in both of those games.

Tell you what though as painful as the losses against Denver and Miami were, those games were extremely impressive in terms of effort (save for the fourth quarter). At some point the fourth quarter execution is going to have to come around for us to win big games but as of right now I'll take what I can get with this team.

really, right now its hard to tell whos the better team.
we made some significant changes to the line-ups

i really think moving derozan and hedo to the bench has/will benefit us tremendously.

BUT

this is all too late, Bosh might leave next year because triano was too late to pull the trigger.

AW WELL

He's never had any class, whatsoever.

I wouldn't have a problem with him saying this if he was on a first place team, but he's not -- he's on the Bobcats, who have one more win than the Raps. There were plenty of questionable calls going both ways in that game, deal with and move on. Listen to your coach, for once, and shut up.

Fuck Jackson and the Bobcats ... their no better than us. The Refs almost gave them the game and they still lost.

If they're so much better, why are our records so much a like.

Talent wise we're better, coaching wise they're better. The fact that the two teams are so close together in the standings means nobody on either team can make a stupid statement like that. Did anyone ask Mr. Jackson why they lost to us 2 out of 3 games this season, considering they're so superior?

He'd blame it on the officials, obviously.

They had 7 more FT's the we did yesterday and early in the 4th they had a double digit advantage in that category, so if he thinks the refs are to blame for last night he's got a screw loose.

I agree. If I recall correctly, at one point in the 3rd quarter Charlotte had attempted 26 free throws to the Raps 9.

Both team have been wildly inconsistent, with similar records this year. The only indicator of who is a better team is the head to head record. Right now it would indicate the Raptors are a better team. That being said, each team has differing strengths and weaknesses so they're difficult to compare.
