Seems like Nash to Toronto is more and more likely.

Just can't wait for it to be officially announced.

i'm having my doubts on that as well at this point. if we have jose here starting again next season this is a fail of a summer.

i really hope kid south africa stays south. i don't know why you guys want our team having more of a resemblance of the suns. we don't need a point guard spoon feeding our kids, we need them to become independent. nash is so shortsighted. what a waste of a 'rebuild' it would be for him to come here. all marketing.

Don't get too up or too down about what leaks out of talks.

Why?

out-and-out lies
bidding wars
re-ups
change of direction
plan "B"s
planting seeds
trickery
new lies to stifle leaks that should never have gotten out
Michael Jordan taking a break from the craps table to scuttle a deal

Only thing I know is this is not going to be a Fred Jones/Jason Kapono type summer.

that's the good thing about having multiple options to improve, significantly. you're in the position of power, rather than they are. I gotta love this summer. this'll make or break the raps for the next 3 years.

What kind of a pg would you prefer for this team? Jennings? Calderon? Or someone like Lowry?

Because no point guard excels growth and increases production like Nash does.
On the other side you have cancerous guards like Jennings, Westbrook, Bayless type of guards who don't do jack shit nor provide leadership for the team.

If Jose or Steve can't satisfy you then I guess you can have Bayless running the team, cus Jose does the same thing that Nash does but worse in terms of helping.

wth? Westbrook is cancerous? He doesn't do jack shit? Did you really just group him with Jennings and Bayless?

yes I grouped Westbrook with 2 other scoring guards who do absolutely nothing to help his teammates become better, do you have a problem with what I just said? If so please explain why you feel it's false.

I can say all three of them are undersized sgs forced to play pg.

Well he did just help his team make it to the finals so he must be doing something right other than just scoring.

As of now, Draft Express has Lillard and Waiters gone at #6 and #7 and us picking Austin Rivers. If that's the scenario and they can turn #8 into Lowry instead, I'm game. It's good to know that some offers are likely to be on the table at draft day depending on how the draft unfolds.

you can probably look to every lowry thread on this site and look for me endorsing him to be our starting point guard. i think it's pretty important to get one that can grow with our team. i'd rather see us use the eighth on someone like lillard or marshall than lose our cap space on a 38 year old point guard would couldn't play a lick of defence is his all-star years. this move would only be a step back from last years systematic progress.

Lowry would be pretty solid on this team and it would be nice to have a pg who is ok on d.

Toronto is unlikely to trade the eighth pick in the upcoming draft.

“I would say on Monday, but Thursday’s a long way away, that we’d be holding on to that eighth pick,” vice-president of basketball operations Ed Stefanski said.

Stefanski likes the caliber of players available in this draft.

“I think it’s the talent, right now,” said Stefanski, who confirmed he has not discussed a possible trade with the Rockets involving Kyle Lowry. “There are offers out there for the eighth pick. But it’s the talent right now.”

Ha. I like to think that Stefanski was hired to be kept completely out of the loop and not involved in any discussions, just so BC can keep wheeling and dealing, and Ed can go to the media and have complete deniability on any leaks.
