i'd be really interested, especially if the 16th is involved.

just looking at recent mock drafts, there's a lot of players available that would help our teams in terms of depth and assets. could you imagine walking out with lowry and someone like terrence jones, kendall marshall, jared sullinger, moe harkless or even perry jones.

i don't know how much it would do for capspace, but having players like jose, davis and johnson out in the market would definitely help fill the holes.

Now hearing Raps aren’t moving 8 for a PG, only a SF. They are happy with position (relative to wings) with or without Nash this summer.

on another note, I guess this means We're holding onto calderon, unless of course we get nash.

Oh right, Caldy. Anyway, this season he's been very consistent and even though I don't like him, I'm sure he's able to teach basketball to a lot of NBA Pguards. If we'd have the occasion to trade him we should think about it, of course, but even when I said once that it would be great taking Nash and a young PG drafted (for example), our main matter is how to fix the SF spot.

if we cant get a veteren player and a draft pick at 16 Raptors should consider doing that deal, seem like this is a 4 tier draft in the first round,

1. anthony davis

tier 2

robinson
beal
mkg
barnes
drummond

tier 3

lamb
lillard
waiters
rivers
henson
zeller
marshall
sullinger
leonard
mo harkless
terrence jones
terrence ross
fab melo
quincy miller
evan fournier
perry jones

tier 4

arnett moultrie
draymond green
festus ezuli
teague
andrew nicholson
jeff taylor
tayshon taylor
royce white
doron lamb
kris joseph
jarred cuningham
wil barton
john jenkins
william buford

so if the Raptors management like a player in the 14 to 16 range better then they like players that are projected higher then its possible they can move down the draft get a good veteran player and still get the prospect they like later in the draft

fournier is a interesting prospect, i wouldnt mind geting lowry or igoudala then draft fournier later in the draft, could be a better move than drafting waiters, lamb or rivers

there are a couple people in the first tier 3 ( ) that should be in tier 2.

Fantasy land?

I'm going to laugh in your face when we get a new point guard this offseason.

by the way why is houston trying to get involved when we got better assets to offer

how about jonas, the 8th pick, amir johnson, calderon

raptors could do this, then go after deron williams, we have more to offer than any other team, we got a top rated center from last years draft and a 8th overall pick

why the Raptors do this, andrea Bargnani goes to pf, demar derozan is around, thats makes the Raptors 4 deep with deron williams, and it is the 5th largest media market in north america, one counrty cheering for one team, national games across canada every game,

pg deron williams
sg demar derozan
sf james johnson
pf andrea bargnani
c dwight howard

we got more to offer then the rockets

Jonas is not going anywhere. Deron will sign most likely in Dallas and lesser probability in Brooklyn - my money is on Dallas (only 2 teams he's deciding between). Howard is turning into a headcase and why would he want to sign an extension here? Make your case all you want about TO but Americans like playing in america. Bargs is already at PF and will stay there especially when JV comes.

no i believe the perception has changed about playing in toronto,

dwight howard and deron williams want to play together, it can't happen in dallas, or the nets, thats why the rockets are trying to buy in right nwo and get dwight howard because everyone knows that howard and deron are a packaged deal

if houston gets howard that means they also land deron williams,

Regarding the PG situation... its called a joke. Nobody knows what the PG situation will be like next year, nothing is definitive just yet. Given the Calderon situation people are always saying hes going to get traded, yet hes always here... its within reason to expect him in a Raptors uniform again.

I guess you're not able to distinguish a joke from a serious trade, I could do a trade with Lebron for Kleiza... its expected to be taken as a joke, if you think that would be serious then wow.

You going out of your way to attack me is hilarious though, cheers.

I'm sorry, which part was the joke? The part where you said I was living in a fantasy land because I said I'd rather have Nash than Lowry?

I guess you're not able to tell a proper joke, as they're supposed to be funny.

I responded with exactly what you said, so you best take that as a "joke" as well.

I'd say there is a lot of effort being done to tamp down the eruption over this trade discussion, likely because it could be unnecessarily damaging to the players involved, directly and indirectly, if it doesn't go through. There are more than two teams needing to consider options depending on what is available at different spots in the draft. The less this gets discussed the better, because it's going to come down to whether it feels right to pull the trigger, or not, on draft night.
