Unless we are bringing nash in for a quick fix now, and as a mentor for a future 1st point guard that we draft perhaps in the next year or 2?

I'm okay with that too..

I don't think the Magic would trade Howard for the 5th and 8th picks.

That's Barnes/MKG and Lillard/Waiters, which is maybe OK (no guaranteed all stars), but the Magic would still be a very bad team next year.

I don't think the Magic do that deal unless some better assets are involved.

if we are a playoff team with nash, what kind of pg would we be drafting in the next year or two? likely not one good enough to be our pg of the future, unless we got really, really lucky.

I’m hearing Lowry for the #8 . . .given that Houston is pursuing Dragic in free agency, makes a lot of sense. Of course, if they get Kyle they don’t need Nash.

Hey Bill, your Rockets and specifically Lowry seem to be the hot-button topics today. Is there a scenario where you see Lowry going to Utah? I’d love to see it, and Utah needs a solid stud pg. thanks

Bill Ingram
No . . .we’re hearing Toronto . . .he’d be great in Utah, though. No question.

Steve Nash to Toronto “gaining steam” Do you think Nash to Toronto is legit? Or is it more likely he goes title hunting with a contender?

Bill Ingram
Considering Phoenix has a 3-year deal on the table, I think Nash stays put.

Toronto Raptors rumours you can share with us?

Bill Ingram
Sounds like they’re after Kyle Lowry, which makes a LOT of sense. A LOT of sense.

Do you have any idea what the Raptors plan to do with Jose Calderon IF they acquire Nash/Lowry? Will Jose be flipped for another asset or will he be part of the deal? Thanks brotha!

Bill Ingram
Sure . . .lots of teams are in search of PG upgrades, starting with the Lakers. Perhaps the Bobcats . . .
.

Interesting Jose point... but we don't need anyone from the Lakers (the movable ones of course).

I think that Calderon for World Peace may be a possibility if we get Lowry/Nash.

Seriously, though, who wouldn't want World Peace?

as long as he nets the team his own worth I am happy if he leaves. If the Lowry thing is real, fine, but you just hope to hell you get something great in return.

How about we offer Dragic a reasonable offer that Houston cannot match with two expensive point guards, keep the Eighth Pick with Drummond.

FIXED: I have confirmed thru two credible sources that Rockets' Kyle Lowry to the Raptors for the 8th overall pick is "heating up" #NBADraft

I figure there are two reasons we're hearing a lot right now about Lowry to Toronto.

1) Toronto now knows they will not be getting Nash and Lowry is the target meaning the rumours are legit.

2) This is a smokescreen while Colangelo tries to acquire an AI or Gay prior to signing Nash.

I'm hoping for the latter. Lowry is great, but option two is better.

Nash
Derozan
Iggy
AB
JV

Although I'd love to see something like:

Nash - backup
Iggy - Derozan
Kleiza - JJ
AB - Amir
JV - Gray

Davis + 8 for Iggy or something like that.

The Raptors remain coy on their draft night plans, mostly because everything is in a state of flux with more than two days left before anyone has to make a selection.

Stefanski admitted the team has had offers for the No. 8 selection but nothing — yet — that will lead them to move the pick.

“Thursday’s a long way away but we’re holding onto that pick,” he said Monday. “But we’re exploring every option.”
Quote:
“I think it’s the talent, right now,” Stefanski said. “There are offers out there for the eighth pick. But it’s the talent right now.”

Moreover, Stefanski said he had not heard a word about Lowry. Naturally, Stefanski added that the Raptors were “exploring every option.”

the lineups still don't address 3 point shooting,

i hope in free agency we'll address this problem, nothing is more exciting then beingd down in a game to 15 then the team hits a couple of 3's and a easy dunk to get back in the game

That is a primary need BC and DC have stated needs to be addressed. No sense worrying as they'll git'r'done!
