Don't see this happening unless we flip Lowry. We got Nash

I would have nothing but love in my heart for Dwight if this happened.

Lowry isn't some kind of savior, you guys are hyping him up way too much... I'd rather stick with Bayless & draft a player with the #8.

Philly hasn't lost anyone and Brand is coming off the books I think
cap space in Boston
Atlanta's been going to the playoffs for 5 years in a row

Honestly, if we add Lowry and one of Iggy, Batum, Gay we're in the mix 4-6 imo. Philly still has Brand on the books btw. NY is stil NY, Boston who knows what they're going to do, Atlanta and Orlando are in a bit of a mess (especially Orlando). After the top 3 it's up for grabs. We have an opportunity to be a top 6 team in the east. JMHO.

I just think that saying we're no better than a #7 team is selling short the lack of depth in the eastern conference. Now, we're getting ahead of ourselves here but with the right moves we'd have a chance to be right there in that range imo. But nothing is ever a given. All I know is, this team should be more exciting to watch next season.

Bayless and Lamb or ? seems better to you?

Even if we got #16 in the deal?

Well I never wanted Lamb, if we keep the #8 I'd draft Rivers.

People don't give enough credit to Bayless, he ran the team great last year when given the opportunity.

Bayless
Rivers/DeRozan
X - Andre, Rudy?
Bargnani
JV

Don Vito, I hope you read this.

Bayless is a horrible NBA player and under no circumstances should he be able to play even second string pg let alone start. Absolutely awful and it makes me sick to my stomache everytime I read something along the lines of "bring back Bayless".

He can't shoot, can't pass, can't finish, has no court vision, and won't be achieving any of those with those Kevin Willis arms.

With all the UFA point guards available I prefer trading up, trading the pick for a SF or keeping the pick and getting Lamb/Beal/Drummond or whoever slips.

There is as much talent at 16 and Lowry and depth for the pick seems to be overpaying.

There will be a PG draft year... it just isn't now.

Wow people discredit our players to the point its laughable. I'm a Bayless believer, that won't change anytime soon.

Bayliss is your third string PG on a deep team

or a decent change of pace back-up on a decent team. I agree with Don, some posters on here are just way to critical of our own players.

change of pace? decent? this is hilarious.

This guy can't see anything but the basket, and he can't even get there and finish efficiently. The only thing he has going for him is his humble personality and his 6'3" height. His basketball skills in the NBA level is a joke!

What kind of a pg makes everyone around him worse?

sorry, back on topic.

I would have been as happy as Jeffb about this a while back, but with the chance to grab Nash I'd just much rather have him over Lowry. Just imagining the level our younger players will develop to with Nash is making me excited.

You're living in a fantasy land, let me bring you back to reality... Jose is our PG for the next few years.

And we still get 16. That would allow for some more moves down the line. Again - I would have love in my heart for Dwight.

Give this team Nash, a 3, and a decent backup big and I'll say we win the atlantic.

as much as i'd like this, we'd be capped out within a year or two, nash would retire, and we'd be stuck with no one leading these guys.

lowry and 16 gives us a pg for the future, a decent pick, and the flexibility to build a long-term team. i'd be ok with the nash scenario, but it's a short term fix, and after all this endless re-building i'm really hoping bc is looking to stability over the long haul as a way to build success.
