Default Starting SF: Hedo or Weems?

Just wondering what people think.... should Hedo be given his starting job back if he's "learned his lesson"? Or should we stick with Weems/Wright in Hedo's place and continue to bring him off the bench for the rest of the season and the playoffs?

the team is better with an athletic defender in the same lineup as jose. as long as jose is our starting pg, hedo should lead the bench mob. if jack starts, so could hedo.

but we all know this ain't happening. hedo will be back in teh starting lineup next game along with jose, he won't get enough touches, and we won't be able to defend.

trianoball.

I hope that things stay as they are right now.

Weems/Wright in the starting lineup gives us a much better balance between offense and defense... and Hedo can certainly bolster our bench production.

Finally a gutsy move by Triano. Hedo deserves to be on the bench. However, knowing the Raptors and its spineless coach, I expect Hedo in the starting lineup very soon.

i'd like to think that the head coach of our team can see the obvious as easily as you guys.

I liked Hedo off the bench to be honest but it doesn't really matter to me.

I'd like to think so too fancy.

Lord knows that I've defended Triano enough this season, but if he ends up going with Hedo as a starter again I'll have lost all respect for him as a coach.

I like to him start...along with Wright...but I guess that's just me.

I've been saying all season, DD starting was FUCKING STUPID.

Hedo is only creating trouble at this point. He should sit and think.

So after 1 game we should consider putting him back in the lineup? I'd vote no, Wright + Weems are playing well. I like Jack/DD/Hedo/Beli/Amir off the bench.

i'd be willing to put Hedo on a short leash, let him start and slowly try to get his shit together... but at the first sign of crap - throw him on the bench.

So with 9 games left, start him just in case he gets his shit together, and if he doesn't then yank him out again? Fuck it, let him get his shit together off the bench. I like what i see out of Weems/Wright. We seem to come out of the gate better with them.

Actually its other way around. We need Hedo in important moments and closing out games. Rather keep him coming off the bench with well definded offensive role.

It was pointed out on these forums way before season started that we have incredibly bad defense (and rebounding) in the starting lineup. And if the truth is that Bosh and Bargs are lock in to start, only one of Jose/Hedo should start. Our luck is that Wright, Weems and even Derozan turned out to be passable wing defenders. They can switch and they get steals.

Team defence to start the game is a good thing to see.

+1 for Weems.

Also, he can attack the basket.

I am so impressed with Weems. Starts the season as an afterthought, a 12th man, and now he's potentially our best option at SF. Whether that's a good thing or not is another question entirely but either way I love the defense, I love the energy, and above all else I love how it's there game in and game out. Not to mention he sticks that mid-range jumper more consistently than ANYONE on this team.

Hedo should start over Weems...Not Wright though, I think the lineup off the bench of Weems, DeRozan, Jack and Amir would be tough for any bench to run with.

+1.

He struggled to find his game early but he's been solid since game #20 or so. He's been my favourite Rap this year.

As much as I hate BC for the Hedo signing I really like the fact that he got some good, young players here that are cheap and can grow with the team.

Belli... DD... Weems... Amir.... it's almost like we got 4 1st round picks this year. I just hope that we keep them all and find a way to get them all consistent PT.

Hedo is redundant in the starting lineup with Jose as the primary ball-handler. Jose is redundant in the lineup with Hedo as the primary ball-handler. Wright and Weems are athletic defenders who won't dominate the ball - perfect compliments to Jose in the starting lineup. Coming off the bench, Hedo will have a well-defined offensive role as the point-forward and Jarrett Jack can play off of Hedo's decisions.

weems over hedo, typically teams like to start the game with ENERGY. we already have a distributer within jose, and weems shows that he can pass too.

id even put beli over hedo.

but really, hedo is too slow now. he can facilitate off the bench much better playing against players that are already some-what tired. plus hes going to be with derozan and amir and jack, those guys make up for the amount of hustle that he can't bring.

Weems should definitely start. He brings energy, something we really lack at the beginning of games. He is a better defender and plays with some determination which is the tone you want to set when starting a game.

I'm liking this starting lineup a lot, and turk coming off the bench is a good thing because now he is one of the 1st two offensive options with Jack, whereas with the starting unit, he was 3rd even 4th, behind bosh, Bargs and Jack(when he started).

Hopefully this is what he needs to get back on track and start earning the money he's making.
