Default Star dimming, O誰eal sees brighter days in Toronto

Good little read this morning on Jermaine. Nothing really new. It would seem as though everyone and their dog as written a "hopeful" article on Jermaine this summer or in this case the fall.

Here's are some the more interesting quotes though:

Jermaine has a lot more heart than Carter. Players who give up on their teams don't play through injuries and play tough basketball when they're hurting. I remember a game from either last season or the season before where JO injured his right shoulder. He shot the foul shots left-handed so that he wouldn't be out of the game if it improved in the training room. That's not a player who is quitting on his team.

One of the things I remember about J.O. was when the Pacers were eliminated from playoff contention I believe 2 years ago, was he was actually crying because he was that upset with himself and not being able to compete at that next level.

It's that intensity and hunger to succeed that I hope J.O. will bring. And I'm hoping it'll rub off on players eventually, specifically, Bosh and Jamario.

It's pretty simple - Carter didn't play through injuries, even if it was a sore toe. JO did. Carter gave up on his team and didn't give 100%. JO did. This is no where near a similar situation.

Indeed. If we don't get the old JO back it will be because he is physically incapable of being that player. Not mentally.
