I think a lot of people here would be happy to see us sign Matt Barnes.
He's tall [6'7], can handle the ball, versatile on both ends of the floor. Not really a beacon of consistency when it comes to his shooting but he's a great guy to have off the bench. Very intense too. Definitely a good 6th man. |

They're both fairly streaky, the latter definitely the better long range shooter. I just like what Barnes brings to the table. A little bit of everything tied together with a lot of heart and intensity.he'd be a good fit with the guys we already have. |

Here are some swingman FAs this year that haven't really been mentioned:
Flip Murray Wally Szczerbiak Stephen Graham (just kidding) Desmond Mason Keith Bogans Bobby Jackson Juan Dixon (maybe he'd fit into Triano's system better) These guys could be had for cheap, and under the right circumstances, I think they could still make an impact. Hopefully BC is looking at these guys as at least last resorts. I think Murray, Jackson, and Mason are the most talented of bunch. Although Wally pretty much disappeared after a very solid time in Minny (remember he was an All-Star?), and hasn't really been used in Cleveland. I'm not sure what the status on these players are concerning their commitments to their teams, but I haven't heard anything on any of them and I'm pretty sure that all of them would sign the bi-annual exception, and a lot could be had for vet's minimum. Marion (S&T)/Cash for Deng (just dreaming)
AP (S&T) for Belinelli Which allows you to retain Delfino and use MLE on Barnes and LLE on Rasho. Jose/Ukic/Belinelli Delfino/Belinelli/DD Turkoglu/Deng/Barnes Bosh/Evans/Pops Bargnani/Rasho/POB Round 2 here we come... ![]() |

boom boo yeah, what did i tell you he is still trying to get marion. that would be the sickest lineup. the bench would be crap possibly. but, next season with some extra draft picks we'd be able to start to fill out the depth.
EDIT: whoops misread that. scratch what i just put. he's trying to keep delfino or parker. i would prefer delfino because he is only in his 20's. on a side note, i still think bryan should try to score marion. Last edited by B-RAD; 07-05-2009 at 04:31 PM. |
