Spurs' pick to be used in Bosh trade?

Quote:
There may be a use for the Spurs' top foreign pick afterall. Tiago Splitter, the Spurs' first-round pick in 2007, is widely acknowledged as the best big man in Europe. This summer, he has an opt-out clause in his contract with Tau Ceramica, the Spanish League team for which he has played since he was a teenager. This was thought to be good timing for the Spurs. The league's collective bargaining agreement contains language that allows teams to treat first-rounders who play three years for non-NBA teams, post-draft, as if they are free agents. It will have been three years this June since the Spurs made Splitter the 28th selection of the 2007 draft, so he falls into that category.
Spurs' situation with Splitter reminds of Scola

it's one of those things though that assuming Colagnelo would entertain the notion of Splitter, he would have all his ducks lined up before making any kind of deal involving his rights.

Splitter is an animal. With some solid sweetener this could be one of BC's better options this summer. I still like the Bynum deal though.

Exuse us Mr and Mrs Semantics. The point he was making was non-north american in keeping with the international flavour of our team, conveniently referred to as european.

Bosh for Bynam was never on the table. Made up rumour by Lakers.

Agreed.

I want a martian who works on his body though..... they tend to be pretty skinny and I could see them getting pushed around under the basket.

A Bosh trade should bring back 7 top young prospects, 3 allstars, loads of capspace should it not? seeing how Bosh is god and all.

Well when you talk about elite euros or Americans the Euros have a very good place for the NBA. However I'd problably take an Urban american Baller who will be a decent role player in the NBA over an abouve average Euro any day of the week and twice on tuesday. Look at the top teams in the NBA most are of that style. Nuggets are a team that are a pure urban team
