If i were them this is were i would go as well. Rose/LBJ/Bosh/Noah is a scary lineup.

Quote:
An NBA executive told The New York Times that, based on discussions with other team officials, he believes that LeBron James and Chris Bosh have already decided to sign with the Bulls.

In that case, James' meetings with teams this coming week would be merely a formality.

"I think it's a done deal," the executive said about James departing Cleveland for Chicago and taking Bosh with him.

The Bulls are not likely to hold room for two maximum-salary contracts once next season's salary cap is set, but they may be within striking distance of that goal.

James Johnson and a TPE, maybe some future picks and should give them enough room to easily give LBJ and Bosh the Max 6 years. Then we only need a young pg to have a lineup with lots of potential

I still say it's possible we'd get Noah. If not, Deng, Gibson, TPE

How about:

Deng, Pietrus, Picks, TPE?

In a three team deal with Orlando (Hedo) and Chicago?

I hope we don't get any more bigs... If so we are going to be in a pickle.

Ideally in any Bosh deal we'd get another big and either a PG or SF. Then you see what you get with Turk, Calderon, Expirings, MLE/vet min.

if the bulls put LBJ/Bosh/Rose together they wont mind losing Noah. they'd love to keep him, but looking at the big picture, he would be expendable. hopefully we can pry him away in a S&T... that way they save some cash in the process, Bosh gets more money, and we come away with something really good.
i can guarantee you they will be giving Deng away for free. do we even want him? his contract is atrocious.

The $$ they save with dealing Noah, they can maybe go get someone else that won't be as good, but if Haywood is still available he'd be nuts not to sign there for the MLE.

I'm not sure Noah is the right fit for us and our soon-to-be rebuild. Hes already 25. Hes entering his prime, but lucky for us, it would be during the dark days. By the time we have a contending team (which could be awhile i.e. Clippers), who knows how old the guy will be.

Rebuild? Not once has anyone from the organization ever said we're rebuilding. And you act like 25 is old. Noah/Bargs/Amir/Davis/Alabi is a strong front court. The rest of the summer can be all about upgrading at PG/SF.

in that case, why dont we just trade Bargs for scraps now, since he's also entering his prime and will be old by the time we're good?
if Bosh agrees to a sign and trade, lets just get shitty guys in return, because we will be rebuilding, and we dont want talent...

i hate this mentality. so because we lose Bosh we will be a rebuilding team? thats bull. i would go out on a limb and say that we'd be a better team without Bosh (if we could get noah).

Nahh. BC will not do a complete rebuild here. Not gonna happen. He's looking to upgrade at PG, SF and is adimant about getting a player or two that can help now in any Bosh S&T. Plus if we were rebuilding our payroll this coming season would be well below the cap and we'd be stockpiling on picks and prospects.

BC is talking about using MLE/Vet minimum. Considering that can only happen if a team goes over the cap, hardly sounds like a rebuild to me. Not in the true sense.

James Johnson is a MUST.

Noah would be incredible, but I aint holding my breath.

But JJ and Future picks and a TPE for Bosh and another contract would allow the team to have a solid, young sf with lots of potential to pair with guys already here. \

TPE afford the team to make other moves(ie: Collison and Okafor for TPE) netting team a solid defensive bigman and a very solid young pg to run the show.

Okafor?
I do agree we need a TPE for sure. That would be amazing. But i have a feeling Chicago will insist on Deng bing in the deal. Deng + TPE (10Mil)

After this season, we will most likely be without Bosh, Hedo, Jose, and possibly Jack, Evans, and Banks. We aren't left with much, and we won't be very competetive unless we get some useful players in return.

With that said, now that the Hinrich deal is almost a done deal, why does Chicago have to give us one of their key players in Noah in a S&T when they can just sign both Bosh and James outright and keep Noah? Doesn't really make sense to me.

What looks better to you?

Rose
Lebron
Deng
Gibson
Noah

Rose
Lebron
Deng or JJ
Bosh
Haywood (MLE?)

Ultimately Bosh is alot better then Noah. Therefore Noah + TPE isn't alot to give to get a player like Bosh. Plus what if Lebron says i'll come here if Bosh is here....kinda forces their hand, no?

This is McGrady all over again. We'll be getting a future first and that's it. No TPE, no players in return, nothing.

Well first of all, Lebron is not a 2 guard. Second, how does this have anything to do with what I posted? Third, I would pick the first lineup, with Bosh added (which they can sign outright now, right?)

Rose
Miller (MLE)
Lebron
Bosh
Noah

The Bulls can also use Deng to find a suitable 2 guard if they choose to do so.

you're talking as if thats a bad thing...
oh no, what will we do without Banks and Evans? Jose is overpaid and i want him gone... Hedo? i wont even say what i think of him.
out of the names you posted, only Jack will be missed (with the exception of CB, but he's already gone IMO).

so we;re basically losing 2 benchers, and 2 overpaid bums... and this is a bad thing?
