Wouldn't mind either at this point. We are going to get a world-breaker at 8, so getting a guy who can contribute, whether off the bench or starting, would be considered a success in my eyes.
However, if I had to choose, Waiters would be my guy. Would be a great fit in that 6th man role the same way he did in Syracuse. |

The only guys I like at 8 are Beal Barnes and Liliard, and only Liliard is likely to be available. Lamb looks like a fucking burnout and Waiters looks like another Stuckey.

Waiters - a guy who tore it up against the reserves of other college teams? There is a difference between reserves/bench players in ncaa and reserves/bench players in the nba.

Just like Ginobli is only good because he plays against bench players. Same with Harden! What a weak argument. The guy has flaws but saying he only played bench players because he was a 6th man isn't one that holds water.

Waiters may have been the 6th man on that team, but he was almost always on the floor late in games. He could have easily started on that team if it weren't for Jardine.

Would definately want Lamb over Waiters.
Btw ... if he's not good enough to start for syracuse, and makes his hay against 2nd units mostly... why would we draft him this high? I have never understood this part with all this talk of waiters. Its the 8th pick ffs. Lamb has great size and can get his own shot. This is no contest. Last edited by JoeyJoJo Shabbadu; 06-20-2012 at 10:23 PM. |

Did he play for the US? Just because he's a little thin now and doesn't get in the mix as much as he should doesn't mean he's lazy. Nice that you guys think he's a lazy pot head based on his looks. You are being completely ridiculous.
And not starting makes a huge difference. Waiters runs the floor well in the Orange's offense. He see's the floor far less each game that some players and has trouble with his own shot when starting or coming off the bench. And the 2 teams are not far apart like you make this sound. It's Uconn and Syracuse. It's not Duke and Buttf$%^ forest college we are comparing. And I'm and orange fan and hate Uconn fwiw. Btw..Lamb sees the floor more at ends of games and is clutch so that's hardly an argument. And if I didn't pick Lamb there's 5 other I would probabaly pick before Waiters. You're reaching. But it will make you look clever I guess one in a hunder times... How's that working out for you anyway? |

Now, I'm no math major, but I'm willing to bet that if you give Waiters the minutes Lamb got, he could put up the same (if not better) production as Lamb. Starter or not. |
