Default Solomon back in Europe

I am sure this post will attract the Solomon haters, but I'm just posting it to let you all know. He's been waived by Sacramento and quickly signed back with his former team Fenerbahçe Istanbul for the remainder of the season and another two years.

Please explain why this is a joke? The guy is good enough to make a GOOD living playing professional Basketball. He could have stayed in Europe and had a fine career.

Instead he took a shot at his long time dream of becoming a NBA player and did so without burning any bridges.

Now he is back where he belongs, doing a job he loves, making great cash and content with his station in life.

Here's hoping some of you acquire that much in life.

The thing about Soloman is that he has the skills to play over here. He just screwed up a nice opportunity in Toronto. The Raps were desperate for someone at the point and Will had a shot. He just flamed out.

That's a new one. The Raptors' horri-awful season not due to the lack of effort, not the stagnant offense, a void at the two spot, or even Jay Triano. It was Will!

Solomon was half pond brain short to be a good backup at PG. He had the body and conditioning, he just couldn't control the speed and complexity of NBA game. He certainly got the opportunity in NBA but is clear out of his league. Good luck Will.

I thought he did a decent job at adapting his game. He couldn't handle the speed of the NBA and wasn't used to playing against superior athletes. He went from being a turnover machine to being an adequate backup who had a nice string of games in the middle of the season where he protected the ball and let the game come to him.

But he is apparently a dick, and wasn't very well liked, so when the team continued to play like shit despite some small successes from Will, he got relegated to the end of the bench.

I don't know...we can all sit and make fun of him, but at the end of the day he's getting paid quite handsomely to do something we'd all love to do, so good for him.

Blaming our problems on Solomon is lame. Clearly the guy is not an nba player...so he's playing where he belongs. I'm happy for him.

Fenerbahçe coach Tanjevic was never happy with him during the old days even though they'd won the league and qualified to the Top-16 in Euroleague. He took his chance with the NBA and Fenerbahçe signed a guy who was truly worse than Solomon and plus the management made a few more mistakes, so Solomon now comes back as a savor that he won't be IMO. I always thought he was a good player, only if he wasn't stupid to make some bold mistakes.

i think people are laughing because him going back to europe is seen as a failure or demotion, if you will.
fact is, anyone getting paid to play basketball is just plain awesome.... no matter where it is.

back on topic,
Solomon is Solomon's own worst enemy.
he could have been a part of this team (or any team for that matter) if he just shut up and played ball. instead, he turned out to be an ego drinen prick who couldnt get along with his teammates.
if you arent a superstar in this league, you're going to have a difficult time staying employed if you're unliked. and from what ive read (and heard) no one liked him.
it was only a matter of time before he went back to europe.
I honestly think that if he came here with the right mindset, he couldve been a raptor for another few years, and maybe even a fan favorite/spark plug off the bench.
