i hope Wright starts....
DD is better suited coming off the bench to start his career.

Yup...He made a ton of stupid mistakes in the preseason already, having him mess up during a few posessions at the begining of games wouldent be the best for team moral

Having him, as a heralded rookie, throw down a few tomahawks early in games could absolutely do wonders for morale.

Two way street baby.

LOL ya just like grant hill. I think in the first 10 sec of his first game he threw down an alley oop! I read it in his book i think, but i could be wrong.

But I'd say... whoever's better defensively RIGHT NOW should start.

Or they should play a game of 1 on 1 for it

Lebron James
OJ Mayo
Vince Carter
Richard Hamilton/ Ben Gordon
James Posey
Jason Terry
Manu Ginobili

well that is the first 7 teams starting SG's to start the season, not an easy game in the bunch not to mention not a weak player at the SG either.

if Mr DeRozen was coming into the league with his athletic ability and strength being defence, then its a different story. it would be much more like Nicolas Batum getting to start the season starting games, he proved himself to be a lock down defender right away.

DeRozens strengths are what? athletic ability, jumping, coach-ability...all nice things, but not nba starter caliber skills. give him a couple months of learning, no need to rush the kid.

James Posey is not a sg neither is LeBron but if he were I'm sure he would average 65 points a game because hes so big their talking bout playing him at the 4 more this year

Nice to hear this. Hopefully Wright gets the starting job. As I asid many times we need a defensive minded guy on our starting roster considering the rest of our starters can provide scoring

terry will not start and neither will ginobili. It's actually possible that even mayo comes off the bench behind iverson (not very likely though)

I believe Wright is exactly where he should be now. Closing out games on star wings.
Triano respects him and I can see why.
It was a fresh sight to see a player guarding LeBron and not feeling that he will be unquestionably burned. But no, Bron actually had to consider him and pass more. And after good defense (with some taunting too) he went at him on offense too

I tell you, Belinelli and Wright are great assets to us in that they piss off opposing star players.
