Default Smith: Triano Closing in on Lead Assistant

With NBA-wide speculation rampant that Triano will eventually hire former Memphis head coach Marc Iavaroni as his lead assistant, no one connected with the Raptors would confirm even that contact between the sides had been made. Iavaroni, who spent a week in Toronto near the end of the NBA season in a consultant’s role, is currently in Asia helping conduct league-sponsored clinics.

Triano said he has no firm timetable to fill out the staff, content to work with general manager Bryan Colangelo and the scouting staff in the run-up to the June 25 draft.

Jay seems like the kind of guy who always is open to other ideas and that trait will be huge for him if he builds the kind of assistant coaching team that is being rumored. He will have lots of great minds helping him. I am happy where this is all heading so far this off-season.

i like how jay is challenging Bosh to join the all defensive team next year

on thing that I found interesting last night watching Howard play is that he risked foul trouble to make plays, then that got me thinking about Chris Bosh they guy finishes games with 1 foul usually, which this also effects other bigs that play with him just for hte fact that they ring up fouls on Oneal or Bargnani just so the fouls won't be drastic on each side, plus it shows Bosh isn't playing with agressiveness

and this guy is suppose to be our team leader and franchise player, to Bosh has alot on his shoulders when it comes to our team being soft, quite frankly he is our softest player

also when was the last time Bosh gained 5 or 10 pounds of muscle, I'm not telling him to gain 20 or 30pounds and change the way he plays but a littl extra muscle with his speed won't hurt maybe he'll stay healthy because of it
