![]() Hmmm .... interesting. And here some of us thought Roko was a shoe-in to back up Jose and not Will. Maybe Roko still needs a little more time to adjust to North America and Canada as well the NBA game.

![]() I think alot of this stems from the fact that not alot of people know much about Roko anyways and Solomon has some NBA experience.
Hell, I remember when Milt Palacio was considered our back up ahead of Jose Calderon. Opinions change and training camp just began. |

![]() Except Milt was gone by the time Jose got here.
![]() Solomon, I'm sure is in every way conceivable is more ready to compete at the NBA level than Roko. It's just common sense, so in essence Doug is just pointing out the obvious. Last edited by Acie; 09-30-2008 at 12:36 PM. |

![]() That's the type of player that most experts claimed he could become back when he was drafted. You're right though, he needs to put on some weight and the shooting will come in time/hard work, but he'll be quicker than Manu and have better handles.

![]() I do see Roko as the eventual backup for the Raps. With some work he could provide alot of the aspects the Calderon is lacking. He's got the size which could turn him into a better defender and rebounder. He has the ability to create his own shot (even if he misses alot). And from the small amount I've seen he can drive and dish well. With that in mind we have to realize he was most recently playing in Europe with unremarkable stats and was drafted as the 11th player in the second round.

![]() Also, considering how awesome of a shooter Calderon is, when the two are on the floor together he could be the one handling the ball and Jose as the makeshift SG, maybe.
