Doug doesn't think so.

Rightly or wrongly – and I know which way the majority thinks – they still harbour hopes of making a push to the playoffs and the last thing, the very, very, very last thing, they’re going to do is take two of their best players out of the lineup.

I can’t see them even thinking about it until they’re eight games into this 11 game stretch so you can put that right out of your mind.

Besides, you know my feelings about sitting good players when they’re healthy and playing against teams that have something to play for. I don’t think you should do it out of respect for the opponent, the game, and yourself.

Doug was against Golden State doing the same thing and by playing their young guys. Meh, whatever, I just want this season to end now.

Rest Jose when they're mathmatically out for sure. Not Bosh...needs to further develop chemistry with Bargnani and perhaps Marion.

Yes.

Let them get healthy because clearly neither are.

They're both going to be run out of town like Joe Thornton was from Boston for not being able to play at a certain level while playing through injury.

Yes, i can agree that Calderon needs to sit out for the rest of the year. His preformace has been sub par for most of the year. That hammy needs to be rested.

I would sit them both and play scrubs... they need to play in order to improve... simple as that.

And it gets Raps more ping pong balls...

I think we should rest Jose and make sure there are no questions about his hamstring!

We can't rest Bosh, we need his numbers to be good in case we have to trade him....

If those two are still being hampered by injuries, the best thing to do would be to shut them down to prevent worsening the injury. I mean, we mathematically have a shot at making the playoffs, but realistically, it probably isn't happening. And what's the point of making the playoffs with injured players - players that we rely heavily on? They're obviously aren;t going to be playing up to their potential.

I dont think we should sit them out yet.
Still need some fans in the stands, I say when theres 10 games left
rest jose Bosh and marion.
Put the pressure on Bargnani to be the go-to guy for those 10 games.
Beneficial experiment if you ask me.

If those guys can go then they play. It's as simple as that.
Never tank, never just throw in the towel.
In order to shake the loser mentality of this franchise they have to begin to approach every game like it's a must-win.
They need to discover and cultivate their competitive fire and there's no time like the present.
Despite his faults - that's what I admire most about Jordan. Whether it's game 7 of the Finals or ping-pong with a teammate, the guy HAS to win. Losing is unacceptable to him. Not just the game, but the little individual battles during a game as well. He took that shit personally and that's what made him the greatest competitor to ever lace 'em up IMO.
A little bit of that attitude could go a long way in Toronto.

Jose should have been down in December, period, for as long as it took.

My opinion I guess, but hey, when a guy is hurt ALL YEAR, there's a reason, you didn't give him time to heal.

Its the best for the team and for Jose and Chris. They will get the rest, and the raps will lose, and getting closer to the # 1 pick. I hope Jose doesn't play for Spain, the guy needs a long break, he has not stopped playing ball since he came in the NBA.

On that subject, I also hope Bargs doesn't play for Italy. He can use the summer to work on his post game even more.
