I never heard that.In fact they just interviewed a former coach of his that said the Raptors could be alot better just due to Jermaine's attitude.

I wouldn't pick McDyess and, especially, Marbury... both are expensive, overrated and over the hill and not what Raps need.

what do you mean expensive? we would get either for the minimum. the only way we get them is somebody waives them. otherwise nobody can afford them. And mc dyess cannot go back to detroit, remember all the talks from last season with the kidd trade?

Guys, any move over a $1,000 would literally cost us an arm and a leg - the luxury tax re-distribution payments in a year where luxury tax payments are projected to hit all-time record - over $100 million!

BC will only do that if we have a chance at getting a difference-maker who'd take us deep into the playoffs.

Because he's a head case. Marbury is nuts. He has his freaking shoe logo tatooed onto the side of his head.

Marbury has consistently believed he's one of the best PG's in the league, even when he was terrible in NY. He is a chemistry killer - Isiah Thomas 2.0 (Isiah in his coaching days; in his playing days he was so good that his attitude didn't matter).

I wouldn't even put it past Stephon to try to injure Calderon in practice, because he thinks he should be the starter wherever he goes.

He's a 31 year old pro..
Marbury won't act like a tard and injure his own teammates for a starting spot. Especially the way he's taking the benching right now.
Bring McDyess and Marbury!

MLSE is only going to let BC go into tax territory if he can present it to them as a move to make a championship run.

I'd like to have McDyess on this team. But add him to this roster, and then compare it with the likes of the Celtics, Lakers, Hornets, and Rockets. Still feel like he puts us over the top? I didn't think so. There is no point going into tax-land unless you have a legit shot at a championship, and McDyess (or Marbury for that matter) doesn't bring that to this team.

Just last year, Marbury talked about either retiring or going to play the rest of his career in Europe. Then he got a very bad shoe logo tattooed onto his head.

No thanks...

Bring in Marbury?
Have some of you LOST YOUR MINDS!!!

That is probably the last player IN THE LEAGUE I would want on this team.
He is a CHEMISTRY KILLER!
He is over the hill
He has ZERO leadership to provide to this team.

What exactly in God's name does Marbury bring to the table?
I can't even think of ONE thing.

I own a pair of Starburys. They're really good for the money.

As for Marbury himself. IF you could get him on a vet's minimum and cheap, why wouldn't you want him coming off the bench? He just needs to surround himself with better people and a better environment. He was a pretty good man of character when he was with Phoenix...so much so that BC traded for him.

Let's not get out of hand here....

Marbury is still one the most athletically gifted PGs in the league.

He's strong. He's fast. He has range. He can penetrate.

BC would be crazy NOT to look at the possibility.

Here in Toronto it would be KNOWN that he would coming into "Chris's team" and that Jose was the starter without question.

If he would be fine with that and we could get him dirt cheap I'd give it a go. If he sucks, sit him.
