I’m trying to get this straight:

You get a good player so it means you plan to, or should, deal away a very good player?

The logic escapes me.

Isn’t this the way to show Bosh you’re serious about winning? Doesn’t giving him another weapon to play alongside – a weapon who is going to create a lot of space for Bosh to operate – mean you’re trying to put the best team possible on the floor?

Now, you know that I’ve never thought they should trade Bosh, that he’s too good to get anything close to value for, that I think he’s in for a monster year, that I think he could just as easily re-sign here next summer as leave.

But it just doesn’t make any sense at all to strengthen your team by adding a borderline all-star small forward (and go check the dispatches from last February and see how many people thought Turkoglu got jobbed when he was snubbed for the all-star game) and then weaken it by trading away a bonafide all-star.

Now, Chris Bosh may indeed decide a year from now that he wants to go play somewhere else. But you can’t say for certain that he will, just like I can’t say for certain that he won’t.

But I will say with absolute certainty – and I will not listen to arguments to the contrary – that making this kind of move does more to appease Bosh than turn him off.

And you have to trust me on this one last point: There is no one – NO ONE – in the Raptor hierarchy who has any taste for moving Bosh today.

I understand the thought process behind Dougs thinking, but I just cant see how Bosh can have a "monster year" without taking away from Turk and Bargs.

Unless by monster he means an absolute beast on the defensive side of the ball then sure, he can do that.

But offensively, if this team opperates the way it has over the past few years then both Turks and Bargs numbers are gonna suffer in an effort to keep Bosh's the same.

But that being said I can see the days of Bosh getting the ball off P&R's become more a thing of the past and I can see alot more offense now being put through Turk and Bargs, Allowing not only Bosh but Jose to focus more on the defense than offense.

If Boshs numbers hang down around Garnetts and Turk has similar numbers and Bargs continues his January on numbers. Jose the same and whoever our sg is puts up the same as AP last season, our starting five matches up very well against the best teams in the league as far as production. Our starting lineup would figure to be very competetive averaging over 75ppg, 28rpg, 4bpg, 4spg and 20apg-some of the best numbers in the league.

The problem will be the bench which will take a couple of years to build up to a respectable level.

I still hear nothing about what Bargnani has been up to.

Is he training at that same facility again?

He seems like he WANTS to train and get bigger and badder, so i can only assume he is.

If he is, does he not become the HUGE X-factor in all of this?

If he is even better this year, with Bosh, Hedo, and A healthy calderon, Toronto is looking pretty fruiggan good, and is also good enough at the other spots to allow Derozan to be less than impressive and still feel a lot less pressure.

im still wondering if Bosh's twitter comment was just to be polite, or if he is actually happy with the signing of Mr. Glue

He doesn't need many big improvements to be better. Of course he's going to have them, but if the team starts creating some plays for Barg's type of game you'll see the difference anyway.
(He is in Treviso this summer, then National team against France)

well Hedu abused Bosh more than once on drives over the last few years, so I'd bet he's happy.

Windex, much appreciated. Say hi to the Pope too!!!

I think the rebound number might go up but points will go down. Bargs will prolly average the most points maybe 22-24 and then Bosh 18-22. After that amazing run by Bargs last season I can see him averaging more point then Bosh for sure

This is what i project for the big three.

Bosh 21PPG/10RPG
Bargs 20PPG/7RPG (1.6blk)
Hedo 16PPG/6RPG/5APG

And Calderon will get 16PPG/8.5APG

as long as Bosh is the go to guy on offense, I can't see how andreea will outscore him.
What I can see, is andreea dropping some on offense, because hedu is a much better offensive player than moon, graham or marion. And I can see andreea improving a bit on rebounding, because he will spend more time under the basket, with the perimeter covered by turkoglu.

I can see Bosh getting 22, andreea 18, hedu 16, jose 16 and whoever plays the 2 around 10. With the bench we'll have, our startnig lineup needs to score at least 80ppg to have a chance of winning games.

This really could be something of a breakout season for Bargnani. It's possible that he gets consideration for the All-Star game. If his comfort level takes another jump and he continues to improve defensively, then it's going to make a big difference. And I don't see why that would mean anything different than Bosh simply becomes more efficient, and better able to use his energy throughout each game and throughout the season effectively. He has plenty of room for leveling off the ups and downs in his numbers through the course of the season, and still show greater overall production.
