From Doug's blog yesterday.

That's 13 right there; and if they do a 1-2 with Marion, that's 14. They are running out of roster spots.

is it a foregone conclusion that the Raptors bring back rasho? how sure are you he'll be back doug (in percentage form, please!)

Yeah, and Jose's an All-Star.

I'm one of the few that Doug doesn't offend, but I'll believe it when it's official.

I thought Joey would be back after a good season like that. I wish he is too though. But I won't be too sad if it means bringing in better players

Rasho was greatly missed this season. He would be an important under the radar signing.

Is someone giving Graham more than his qualifying offer
or can the Raps release him with no penalty?

They can extend a qualifying offer and if no one else signs him to an offer sheet they have until Oct.1 to rescind it and he becomes a UFA.

I believe Joey is gone, Banks is gone (probably a buyout) and if they can they'll trade Krapono. I also think AP might be gone (50/50).

Rebounding and interior toughness were the teams biggest issues when Rasho was here and they still are. Bringing him back won't make much difference.

Maybe not, but I like him coming off the bench to relieve Bargnani rather than O'Bryant, Humphries or Voskuhl.

We must have been watching a different player because I thought he was solid in both areas and would definitely be better than anything the Raptors have seen coming off the bench in the middle in a long time. There is only so much money to go around and Rasho isn't going to cost much.

It was only a season ago that Rasho was the starting 5 here and opposing teams were getting lay-ups at will. On a team of "nice guys" (ie: soft), he'll just be one more.
What the team actually needs is someone to intimidate in the lane and Rasho's no shot blocker.
He's a classy vet and I'd welcome him back, but he's not the answer to the Raptors frontcourt issues.
All this talk about bringing back players that helped the team to all of a .500 record that year leaves me

+1,000,000. I hate rasho, i hated the fact we paid 10 million for him. He is not that good a player and is getting old. We had him here and it didnt work.

I HATE RASHO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You guys are both kidding right. Rasho is an amazing player and I have no clue who you guys have been watching. O'Bryant over Rasho, damn you gotta get your head checked. Also, it's not like we are gonna pay 10 mil for him now. He is not worth it. At most he'll get 2-3 mil, and BTW it did work out for him here. He was a good starting center and now he can go to the bench and still hel pus out. Boy do ou guys need to watch some Raptors games

I don't remember these "layups at will" you're talking about, sorry. I remember a solid defender, solid rebounder who kept quiet, did his job the best he could and didn't ask for anything at the other end; a true selfless role player. Rasho has been in the league 11 years and out of those 11 years he's only missed the playoffs once and that was this year playing for the rebuilding lotto destined Pacers. Tim Duncan and Kevin Garnett have said many kind things about the man on the court and off the court.

Tell me the player(s) you're talking about? Because I fail to see how a one dimensional player is going to be more beneficial than a rock solid, experienced vet who wants to play for this team.

The Raptors didn't sign him to that deal. They moved complete dead weight in Eric Williams, along with Matt Bonner who didn't have a place on the Raptors and a 2nd rounder for a legit 7 footer who could offer quality play, experience and leadership. I don't know, seems like a no brainer to me.
