Thoughts?

Now, I have no knowledge that anythingís that close but if these guys get nine or 10 games below .500, and that possibility exists, the seasonís effectively over so waiting until then makes no sense.

Wait, so he says that he has no knowledge that anything's close but yesterday he said a deal is semi-imminent? Which one is it

Btw this just in, Raptors are pretty bad and need to make a move, i know nobody in the organization, have no intimate knowledge of any goings on in the ACC or upper management, but from my vast experience guessing what the weathers going to be like in San Juan on a tuesday, i would say a deal should happen in about 46 min.

He needs a move to be made to make his earlier predictions of a move come true.

Basically this article is saying "I know a move is best for the team, how come BC doesn't?"

if we get 9 or 10 games below .500? what are we now? 5? 6? 7? 8? (i don't know).

we're .387 already. 9 games under .500 for the season is .390. 10 games is .378.

I agree! But he's right about one thing. Now's the time. If we lose the next three games we're fucked (10 games under .500) and then we go back on the road.

Our next 3 games:

Denver
Houston
Orlando

YIKES!!!

Jesus Xavier Cugat. What do you guys want, and why blow a few blog entries out of proportion? What does anyone suppose there is to write about this team?

Read what he's saying. A trade needs to be done like today. He gives his reasons, and then states that it's NOT a prediction or inside info. It's simply what he feels must be done. Yesterday he was passing on info that something was somewhat imminent, not exactly as in TODAY.

Yes it's blather and obvious and redundant, but it's about all there is, especially if you don't want to be just droning on about all the negatives. He's throwing his thoughts out there in a blog. Please crucify him and every other person that has tossed out some thought on a blog. Why not just shut down this site while we're at it, unless you really think any of us have not been obvious, redundant or a blowhard.

LX, most of the hate directed to Doug though is due to his condescending attitude towards the fans en masse, in regards to everything. He hardly believes he's wrong, if ever, and it's a big reason (myself at least) love to pile on the guy for stuff like this.

wow, u guys need to chill.

smith gets paid to write about basketball... there's not much to write about with respect to the raptors, so he wrote what he did.

now, if he had the luxury to write about all teams in the league, then i'm sure he could put together a nice piece. but, he needs to write about the raps, and there's not much to say right now.

the alternative is that he writes background pieces on some of the players... but, i really don't care about their personal lives...

It's not an article, it's a blog..which is the equivalent of your posting on this forum. His opinion is just as relevant as yours...arguably more in that he's being paid to post his

I take him very much tongue in cheek. I don't see where he tries to exalt himself all too seriously. He provides healthy doses of self-deprecation in most cases. I see your point when there is a truly massive response by the masses, where he just discounts the whole thing. But I actually respect him for that. The fans en masse do not impress me in the least on many occasions.
