I wasn't aware of that... but I guess he'd take a 10 and 4 guy in kirilenko over a 13 and 10 guy in marion.

I'm a semi-jazz fan only because of Jeff Hornacek, but I'm sure sure Claud was cheering for them even when Jordan put Russel in the dust... and I can respect a long time fan.

I think Marion is a great fit there though and an improvement over kirilenko.

I think you mean Jordan's blatant offensive foul.

truth be told, with the way things are going this postseason; utah would probably entertain the idea of grabbing marion.
reasons - 1. AK has grew out of favor at the beginning of the year, only to slowly get back into Slaon's goodbooks a few months later.... but his name has been in trade rumours all year long.
2. They are in need of a defender who can guard someone like kobe (who's giving them fits)... and Marion still has that title of being a world-class Defender.
3. Boozer is as good as gone when his contract is up, or he opts out (whatever comes first. so they will have plenty of money to throw around.... especially if he opts out this summer like he said he would during the season. Although with the way he's been playing lately and his injury probems, i doubt he does.

Doubt he opts out, and they'll probably lose Millsap because of it.

Do we really want AK's contract guys?

I've been a fan of the Jazz since about '94. Karl Malone ftw!

And Jordan should've been called for the blatant push off in ECF in Game 5 I believe in Indiana when he clearly pushed Reggie for the ball. But c'est la vie

which is a complete and utter shame.
Millsap is an absolute Beast. he has more passion and heart in his pinky finger, then Boozer has in his whole body.

For the Jazz fan's sake, i hope Boozer opts out... if not, they will have to endure another year of his lazy-ass half hearted effort (to go along with him probably playing 50 games due to injury - again). this season, Millsap showed us all exactly what we expected for years now - that he can bang with the bigboys and rack up double-doubles without breaking a sweat, and more importantly, that Boozer is expendable in Utah.

yep. Millsap definitely has his deficiencies, but he's the definition of a POWER forward. I'd be heartbroken if i was a Jazz fan and they lost him because of boozer (though i can't really blame Boozer for not opting out, but yeah).

Bandwagoner! I"ve been a fan since pre-90's. I loved them in the playoffs every year when they went down in an exhausted heap shy of the their goal. By the time they got to the Finals, anything short of victory there just added to my sense of tragedy.

And John Stockton made some damn flashy passes in his time.

I prefer Marion in terms of what he brings defensively, and in terms of the energy he brings. I'm really not sure what team is going to spend a ton of money on him right now. It'll be interesting to see.

I never liked the name Utah Jazz, makes no scence
how many people you got playing Jazz in Utah?
I always thought they should be the Stormin' Mormins
Jazz is reserved for New Orleans or St Louis/KC

It can also be said that LA Lakers makes no scence either, no lakes in LA

They were originally the New Orleans Jazz.

The Lakers were originally the Minneapolis Lakers

I'm sorry Acie, you are wrong.
unfortunately you did not state the answer as a question.
i would have accepted; "who were the New Orleans Jazz" or "who were the Minneapolis Lakers".

TO, you are in control of the board, go ahead.

I know that CG will probably kill me for this but I'd rather keep Marion than get AK.

AK is still a bit of an enigma to me.... sometimes he looks spectacular... other times he just disappears... particularly on the offensive end.

I would have a problem paying out that kind of money to a guy that's JUST a defender.

At least Marion can post up some and rebounds like a fiend.. in ADDITION to defending.

Because, you know, there are a lot of Raptors running around downtown Toronto..maybe we should change it. The Toronto Cosmos (as in Cosmopolitans.. sort of like Mets/Metropolitans). ALthough I'm not sure how I feel having our name after a really weak drink. Then again, I don't know how I feel about our name being associated with dinosaurs.

I would love Marion back. He is what we need here especially to help our rebounding woes. But I guess if he were to leave I'd rather do a sign and tradebecause something is better then nothing
