Exclamation Smith: Bosh wants to be wooed

Quote:
I think Bosh wants to be wooed, he wants to be wined and dined and told how important he is to this or that franchise and won’t make a decision on where he’d like to go until that process is complete.

So I don’t think there’s a list and if there is even in the dark recesses of his mind, it’s a lot longer than just the teams with cap room to sign him outright.

Some day early next week we’ll sit down and go over the league and try to find 10 or 12 franchises that may have a legitimate shot at getting him.

But don’t for a second think the list is small or even finite.
LINK - Toronto Star

What does this mean for the Raps? They clearly have no idea who they'll be trying to strike a deal with.

I agree with that.

A part of me believes this his chance for exposure, exposure that he's lacked while playing in Toronto. Next, the feeling of being wanted or needed, is always a nice comfortable feeling so I can understand where he's coming from.

I also do believe that when it's all said and done, he's going to re-sign here, play for 2 years or so and the likely be traded. If there's anything that Colangelo does well is wine and dine.

What it means is that at the very least the Raps now have youth at 3 possibly 4 positions that can continue to grow toward the future.

Bargs is a solid player, still young aint going anywhere

Davis, Amir, Alabi are all young bigmen who will only get better.

Demar, Weems and Beli are all young swings with alot of room to grow.

Potential HEdo, Jack and Jose deals should hopefully bring in at least 1 young peice at either the pg or sf spot.

So wherever Bosh decides he wants to go the desired return should be the same, Capspace, future picks, a youth at the pg/sf spot, have a young team ready to explode after a year or 2 of consistant minutes and grooming with a stockpile of other youth and picks to move for an allstar whewn the time is right.

What do you mean exposure he lacked? He never got us past the first round so what kind of exposure do you expect? He got voted to the all-star game every year he should be thankful for that.

i don't know bosh, so i don't want to say he is wooe or not... but i think many people forgot what he does here during 7 years.

i think after 7 years he has the right to go wherever he wants or stay. i don't think Bosh is "debile", so i think he just enjoy all the attention around him this year and at this moment.
It's more like a sacre (like a small victory in the final's championship) it meens he is a great player, maybe not a supergreat like jordan, but still a good godd very good one.
and it seems to be an enjoy to know that "we are good and an asset in the eyes of a lot a people".

whaterever, maybe he just want BC go for one or two player who can facililtate his game, and improve the .48 victory of this year to a team who can go in the playoffs, and maybe over that.

bosh had a great budy (JJ) here and he finaly have the team who needs him. isn't he the Raptors's captain ?

but i think BC says something in the end of season, whitch make sense to me.
"J triano learn this year, he learn his player,"
so he must change his game plan to adjust to his players, all of them.

They increased 29 to 40 victory this year, so it's not so bad, and during the miseason, raps were one of the 10 best team in the league, right ?

SO I think he need to see what BC wants really. and i don't think now he will see anything. it's like chess, we wait, we see and we go for a move.

i hope Bosh will choose to go if i want, and don't stay for bad reasons. it will be a desaster for the team.

the young guys need a captain an all-star and a trully good player, who can leads this team (on the field or/and in the lookeroom)
bosh can be this man ? i hope so, but he need to grown up and say, i'm the man who can go with all my teamates in the playoff and match with any competitor for the title.

so i think they all will do that a this moment.

Bosh says he wants to be the man, but he must also show he can do it.
BC says he wants Bosh to stay, go for a move who do that.
Triano must become not a teacher of student player, but a nba coach, and be a lot more active with this player, on the field and in the looker.

so, maybe the team could have a soul and win.

edit: my keyboard is capricious. i correct mistakes now.

Default Bosh to Chicago!!!

There are some reports that his already decided...chicago is destination with lebron...if that is the case...then Bryan Colangelo don't give in until u get Joakim Noah in exchanged...because if he really want's 2 go there let's see if his willing 2 take less money...there are 30 million reasons why chris Bosh likes sign and trade!!!

I don't think he was ever voted in by the fan base. I'm almost 100% positive of this. He was always a coaches pick.

Secondly, yes, American exposure is > that Canadian exposure.

And the exposure he wants is to be seen as one of the best, if not, the best young PF in the game. Can't really blame him for that.

win + play with passion = exposure.

Not a hard equation.

Ask Vince carter.

All I know is that by drafting Ed Davis, BC smartly put us in a position to trade Bosh for a wing player or point guard instead of just big for big trade
