Unhappy Smith: Bosh Begins a Bit Banged Up?

Quote:
A guy goes to a golf tournament a little bit of news breaks out.

Still awaiting official confirmation but the chatter is that Chris Bosh may be nursing a tweaked hamstring and could sit out the start of Raptors training camp next week.

The word out at the foundation event this morning is that its a setback, not huge, but still not a great way to get the season underway.

Its unclear exactly how Bosh, who Im told spent a lot of time this summer working on his body and his game, got himself a little banged up. But he is and now they have to deal with it. I do know hes been in town a few days going through workouts and scrimmages with the other Raptors.

Well get more on this later today, I imagine, but just thought youd like to know.

Be back when I can.
good thing theres till a month before the opener.

Grrrreat .... first Hedo and now Bosh. I guess the 36 wins isn't too far off at this point.

i imagine he's a little sore and weakened because he's been working out all summer and hasn't found comfort in his new physique yet.

it's ok he just needs to get some rest for i think two weeks should be good.

he's been pushing himself hard and now needs to rest up and heal and adjust to his new body.

Wonder how much slack Bosh will get given when playing starts because of a sore Hammy.

I would venture to guess ALOT more than Jose got.

Jose chose to play the whole season with an injury. It's his damn fault.

Jose needed to play rthe whole season hurt, it was managements fault for only having Him, Roko and Solomon available to play the point.

a month is enough time to rest that hamstring.... as long as its just pulled... if theres a tear, then we're fucked.
the only prob is now that hedo and Bosh will be sitting for the rest of the summer, they're both going to be a little cold when the season starts and it may take a few games for them to be effective.
slow start, here we come!

I dont know about that.

If Bosh and Hedo are anywhere near the calibre of player that is being preached, then there really shouldnt be any trouble getting used to each other.

Bosh already knows what to do and so does Hedo, shouldnt be any trouble with them. Maybe perhaps with some of the others(Demar and the bench) on the team getting used to both Bosh and Hedo.

I'm tired of hearing about how Bosh has "worked on his game and his body" this off-season. Doug Smith talks about it like he's amazed. Was everybody expecting him to lay on the couch playing Halo while eating doritos? He's a professional athlete for crying out loud. I would expect nothing less.

I realize that some players work harder than others but the expectation should be that every player comes into camp in better shape than the year before. We should be talking about the ones who don't.

I'm sure CB4 has Jose on the phone for some tips on how to treat this injury. Calderon should be a pro at it by now.
