Yes, I thought Andrea Bargnani was playing scared, as I mentioned the other day, and I thought and at some level still think there is a roll for him.

But after the dog of a game last night, hes got to be running out of chances with everyone concerned. And thats teammates and coaches, some of whom are starting to cast a furtive eye in his direction.

I know Bargnani is never going to be nor was he ever a high-intensity guy but the loafing you saw last night is simply unprofessional and unacceptable and if he starts to lose his teammates and coaches as supporters, its over.

No one yet wants him benched but he needs to at least show more effort than he did last night. He was okay in the effort department the other night against Washington he looked engaged and just missed good shots but last night it looked like he was off in some other area code.

The kid is turning into his own worst enemy, those on the staff and the roster who supported him are not all that enthralled any more and if their support goes, hes done.

Hes close but its now up to him to make amends.

Can he?

Im dubious.

It's over in Toronto.... Bargnani will be going elsewhere next year, and it's a huge offseason for him to prove doubters wrong.... if he doesn't do the work, he's going to frustrate his next team too.

The idea Andrea "might" lose his teammates is funny. That happened a while ago.

I don't think we will see one more 20 points game from him this year. Not even as a starter.
My tip: amnesty this offseason, and with the capspace we will sign ... Luke Walton

Seriously, that is exactly the guy we'd target.... and Torap is going to pump the Walton wagon like he's advertising a PS Vita in a van with a bunch of randoms that can't think of anything interesting to say except 'uhhh yeah'.

You know when Doug Smith is doubting Bargs that it's game over for him.

That's OK Stumbles. Basketball is just a dumb game and you've been on the losing end of it for many years. You could work in an animal rescue shelter or become a great chef!

For sure he has the money to get his own going. I think there will be some team that will take the gamble on him this summer, once BC will have pulled the trigger (amnesty) to bring on another overpaid player.

Who has that feeling we should have sold low at the trade deadline?

Even a Boozer for Bargs + Linas

Too late now...

Chicago never wanted LKZ in the deal.

Chicago never wanted Bargnani - it was all just a game.

Toronto never wanted Boozer, they were trying to create a better scenario.

Boozer would have been a great pickup in hindsight despite his failings. 15/9 at a good % and we could have moved Amir to the bench to be an amazing 6th man.

Too bad. =\

I would've counter-offerred with Bargs, Gray, JLIII for Boozer, Nate, Nazr.

Can't say I argue too much with the article.... Its pretty sad really. And really hard on the team.

I'm so beyond caring in any way shape or form. I am so bored of his existence. What sucks is that even when he is on the bench, we have a camera on him. There really is no drama in this at all. The team needs to move on. Let him stay at home, go back to Italy, or whatever, and let the team deal with what they have without him, which is problematic enough as it is, but there's no need to muddle everything up even worse. The hopes of this guy working well off the bench were grossly misplaced.

I can just picture Bargs stuffing his winter clothes in a charity bin before he hops on a red-eye April 17th and bids a final farewell to Canada with that sh*t eating Primo grin on his stupid face.

Walton's a smart player but I don't see how he'd fit on this team. I don't ever recall mentioning him at all, truth be told.
