Default Smitch should start Kapono

SVG has already tipped his hand that theyre gonna double Bosh all day and night, so guess whos gonna be open on the other side? Mr Moon. And its not like Kapono will have a tough cover on the other end with Evans or Bogans. Am I making too much sense?

i agree thriller. but i dont see sam, who's a stay-at-home, risk management kind of dude, trying anything out of the ordinary. If anything he'll flip the smitch/switch in game three, when the light comes on.

Honestly, I think this is the reason WHY we have Kapono. Specifically for the playoffs, where outside shooting is a key component to winning games. If Smitch uses this advantage is another story however.

It would be the smart decision to make, but I doubt Sam does it. We can't give him that much credit, can we?

Its not a bad idea, and Kaponos defense has improved a little bit lately, and Moon in the second unit would get the rebounds that Bargs doesnt. I think it would be good to see what happends in the first game, and then make the changes.
We would lose the surprise factor for the first game though..

So Kapono hits open 3's (maybe) and Lewis scorches him for 50 on the other end?

I dunno, I was actually thinking of putting Kapono at the 2 guard and leaving Jamario at the 3. Parker has struggled lately and again I think putting Jamario on Rashard makes a lot of sense.

I don't know, Kapono has looked REALLY bad the games he's started this year, and would he be guarding Turkoglu? Eek.

And we can't start Kapono and Moon... We need Parker to defend the perimeter in this series hard.

Yeah but we KNOW Bosh is gonna be doubled and with another shooter on the floor itd make it a lot less successful.

And again, Kapono wouldnt guard either premiere forward with Evans or Bogans on the floor.

14/16 11/11, and even in the first game he played vs ORL when he was still in recovery mode he had 26+10. You either forget easily or you just didnt watch our games vs ORL this year, they barely doubled at all.

People, people, have you ever watched the Magic play?!

Turkoglu starts at PF and Lewis - at SF. Evans is their starting SG.

Ideally, Rasho takes Howard, Bosh comes out a bit to guard Turk, Jamario bothers Lewis all over the floor and then Parker (or Kapono, if Thriller's idea flies) has to cover Evans. Evans is an athletic guy, so Kapono would be at a definite disadvantage there. He will be exposed even worse trying to guard Lewis one-on-one. So, if Kapono is to start, they'd almost have to play some type of a zone defence.

Nah, Evans rarely takes it from the 3 pt line all the way to the rim. And anyways, if we can get them trying to exploit Kapono with Maurice freaking Evans I think thats a good thing. Isolate Evans, thatll be fun to watch, turnover fest waiting to happen.

And IMO we should put Bosh on Evans for the series, let him rest and play help D. Parker and Moon should be on Lewis and Turkey
