Default Smitch to Raptors Fans: "Appreciate Bosh"

Mitchell was very professional in saying that he didn't feel it would be appropriate to comment on Bosh's status in 2010- aside from mentioning that everything he had read or heard up to date from either Bosh or Colangelo, was that he wanted to stay and they intend to keep him.

He did, however add (and here's the kicker) that we Toronto fans should appreciate Bosh while he is here. "Just enjoy Chris Bosh and enjoy him playing basketball" to paraphrase. He mentioned that the losses have indeed been frustrating to the fans and while he understands, he says our guys don't go out there to try and lose. They try their best and sometimes it's just not good enough. He ended it by saying (in a cautionary tone) that if the fans want Bosh to stay, then booing was not a good start.

I have been echoing these sentiments on here for the past few weeks, and pretty much got flamed in a post I made about the fans and their attitude towards Bosh this season.

Anyways, discuss.

I disagree with smitch, and this recap misses the slightly condescending tone with which it was said.

The fans pay ALOT of money to watch these raptor games on a daily basis at the ACC. The fans can do whatever they want in my opinion whether they want to boo our team, a player, the coach. If they don't think we shouldn't boo then we should get a little rebate back from MLSE for spending 20 grand a year on tickets to see lossing.

Bosh (along with maybe Marion) is the only true starter and currently a franchise player on this team. He'll be sorely missed when he leaves.

Bosh, stay and extend your contract

Smitch still should have been fired but they
should have waited for the end of the season

i miss smitch, not because of his coaching but because he was always a fun interview
the guy would put up the annoyed answers to every question but you knew it was half done for jokes
if you ever listened to FAN590 at like 8am on wednesdays they would interview the raptor coach and smitch would get into completely silly arguments with the show hosts and they'd threaten each other physically, hahaha
now he's been replaced by triano every wednesday who is just a plain interview, nothing wrong with that but its just not that funny to listen to

You're not serious...Bosh? A starter? You've bought tooooo much into the MLSE hype on this guy...hey, notice how Andrea is capturing a little "ink" in the print ads of late?

If Triano is smart, and gets the ok from his "boss"...he should bring in Christine from the bench the next few games. No heart, no grit, no "game"...sad, really...if there was a "stat" for the most catches under the basket after a made shot, Christine would be an all-star! Shit, just WHERE is his GAME??? [He DOES do a nice job inbounding the ball after a made basket]

Hell, Sam couldn't do it in the "D-League"...not EVERY player can be successful at coaching...gee...hmmm...where IS Sam coaching now? I wonder if Pickering or Eastern Commerce turned down his app?
