Slightly OT: Trip to a Raptors game questions

Hey guys, my girlfriend and I are planning on coming down(or up, or over) to Toronto in March. It'd be the 15th game against the Bobcats.

Just want to know if anyone can recommend a good hotel or even better a hotel/ticket package for a decent price.

I found this one, don't know how good of a deal $677 is for grey area seats and one night in a hotel..

Eh, a bit too much? What kind of seats are you getting, and where you coming from? really depends, I know motels can go for under a 100 a night, and you can get decent tix for 70-100 bucks per seat. really depends on what kind of seats you want

just buy tix on ebay i find that sometimes americans (for whatever reason) have tickets to games in the acc and sell them much cheaper

If you are looking for a really memorable experience and aren't worried about splurging a little, that looks pretty foolproof. I think with a deal like this one you pay a premium for everything being taken care of for you, which you might find worthwhile. I don't think you can go too wrong with any bigger hotels downtown, so maybe shop around. And Raptorman might have a better buy on greys available.

Thanks, that's what I figured.

Why would Raptorman have a good buy on greys? Some kind of ticket sclaper extraordinaire?

kind of. He sells tickets at good prices. i have gotten some off him so i would recommend it.

Can't say i know much about the hotel prices, but definitely call around. There's quite a few to choose from so get dailing. I would think that one you pulled up (the germain or whatever at maple leaf square will be one of the more expensive ones, but if it's comparable then definitely go for it.

i just saw the price figure in your first post and yikes.... i'm sure you can find something far cheaper. Splurge on some nice dinners.

hotwire.com is pretty awesome for hotels. i just used them this past weekend in montreal and saved approx. 50% a night. not sure if you know how it works, but you bid on a hotel without knowing which one it is you're staying in, but you get to chose by stars, amenities and location. check it out

Def go the Hotwire route. Most premium hotels are top notch in Toronto. Hotwire will get you a room CHEAP. Usually less than half. A friend in the biz says it always blows him away how cheap people get rooms from them.

Email me at raptorman@rogers.com. I'll hook you up with tickets.

Is the shootaround in the AM open to the public?
