Default Simmons: A good chance Bosh is gone

Thanks for the insight, Steve.

Quote:
If there was any doubt before, there is almost none now: This will be Chris Bosh's last season with the Toronto Raptors.

And if you were him, why would you stay with the Raptors? What would motivate you to remain with a team that, again, isn't anywhere close to being a contender?

The Raptors had to build around Bosh. That was the promise. They had to find a way not to squander Bosh's talents. They had to turn loser into winner, or at least begin developing something with promise, something to believe in.

General manager Bryan Colangelo has not done that. Coach Jay Triano has not done that. The other Raptors players have not done that.

Bosh is not LeBron James or Dwyane Wade or Kobe Bryant. He doesn't win games on his own. He needs help around him, especially in the fourth quarter. He is a very good NBA player, not a LeBron-Kobe player for the ages.

Very good for the rest of this, his seventh season in Toronto. Not good enough to stay for another season going nowhere.

it's okay. We'll survive without Bosh.

Exactly. Let's do this after 82 games, not 22 games.

If the Raps don't make it to the playoffs, he's forsure gone, IMO..... but who knows, maybe that money can get another good FA..

If this team turns it around and wins a playoff round, that'll be the only thing that keeps him here. I have no major issue if he leaves if we get a S&T, because in the long run if BC gets the right package it might be just what this team needs.

MLSE like to sell a product and that's just what Bosh is. I could see max money being offered to him - it's not up to BC. Despite being the face of basketball in Toronto, why exactly would he stay here?

I'd like to see him go, those knees are time bombs. Especially if he decides to play harder under the basket as has been the case for the past 2 games.

I read this earlier, pretty pathetic write-up by Simmons. Just his own opinion on how Bosh feels and no concrete evidence that Bosh wants to leave yet again

And LOL and some of you guys underrating Bosh. We might get some decent players to replace him, but we will not get anyone of his calibre through free agency

Not to mention their ultra conservative outlook to everything while selling classifieds space to prostitutes and gay hotlines.

He probably is gona leave.

But in regards to building teams around him, I think with the resources available BC has done a solid job.

Looking at last season to add DD, Evans, Turk, Amir, Beli, Jack, Weems, Wright to the team is very solid additions. In the 2 of the 3 years he has been here he has brought in 9 new players. He is definately trying to find a combination that works.

He just needs to make on e of the players a Wade or Lebron or Kobe to make the team a winner.

The Sun is kind of like a cross between a real newspaper and a mad magazine. I like it.

It's the Sun, thus it retains no credibility in my books. It's way too early to make this kind of assessment.

What kind of a phony newspaper makes predictions like that. But then again it's the Toronto Sun, they don't know how to write the news.
