Bucks SI.com Trade Proposal with Bucks

Hmmm ... thoughts?

Is this the ideal way for Toronto to fill its desperate need for a backup point guard? Of course not—but it's the best the Raptors can do while saving enough money to get under the luxury-tax threshold this season. Bell isn't a true point, but he's capable enough to spell overworked José Calderón. Milwaukee, meanwhile, sheds Bell's contract (three years, $11.5 million remaining beyond this season) for Parker, whose three-point shooting and professionalism will come in handy before his contract runs out this summer. Croshere could help Toronto as a frontcourt shooter, but he and Jawai are mainly throw-ins for cap purposes.

It's not even like it's giving us any cap flexibility either. I don't see the logic right now.

With the way Solomon and Ukic played yesterday, our PG depth is improving.

No deal.

No way. I'd rather AP play PG before that.

Yeah, I saw this the other day - I'm pretty sure it was here...I don't see how that deal helps us. Croshere is washed up and Bell wouldn't get the time of day here - just like in Milwaukee. Milwaukee should have just let Bell walk to Miami instead of matching the offer.

This looks like one shitty ass trade. By doing this we would be stepping backwards. Also, jawi is going to start playing in a week or two, lets see what hte guys got. I think he is going to be a shocker to some, and really step it up and help the team out. (on defense at least) just look at the size of the guy!

We are already weak at position Anthony Parker plays, if we deal him away and we get back a backup PG. AP has to have more value than Bell + Bell contract sucks, will put us over the luxury tax. Anyway, Raptors are better off signing Delfino than bringing Bell ( AP salary - Bell salary = aprox. 6 mil ) ... Also, we don't need Croshere, we already have Jake warming the bench once JO is back.

It's tough saying yes to this trade the way AP played yesterday.

real stupid trade
Parker is a much better player then Bell is and can probably even play the point better
Jawai.. without even seeing him play, i know he wont have trouble playing as good or maybe even better then cros.

If AP can put together a string of 20+ points on only two missed shots I'd only listen to trade offers involving players named Lebron and Kobe.

Point is let's wait until he starts putting up nice numbers on a consistent basis. Right now he's trade bait. He's not serviceable until he starts doing something for us.

Is there any upside for the Raptors with this proposal? Picking up another contract and two players who won't get big minutes makes absolutely no sense.
