Should we hire Brown??
Just heard that Larry Brown quit his job today, should we hire him to replace Triano??

DuCa00795 12-22-2010 10:44 PM

That would involve firing Jay Triano and not tanking? Pass.

what do you think BC is doing, of course he saw the opportunity of larry brown, its all up to him though

Larry Brown had to be talked out of retiring and into coaching Charlotte by Michael Jordan, I'm pretty sure he'll be retiring.

LB is the worst possible coach for a rebuilding team. He doesn't know how to cultivate young talent... at all.

never, maybe as a consultant or front office position i wouldnt mind larry brown

Carlito 12-23-2010 08:24 AM

no thanks ... Brown has messed up the last couple of organizations he has touched.

jeffb 12-23-2010 08:26 AM

He'd be better then the schmuck we have now, but I don't think he's right for the job here. He should probably retire.

We need to hang on to chief in commander of operation tank.

If necessary, get a new coach in the offseason. No need to do anything right now that`s going to get us more wins, we need to pick as highly as possible in the draft.

CobraKing 12-23-2010 08:46 AM

Larry Brown hasn't accomplished much in the last few years, in fact he's been a headache.

Plus our roster ain't the sharpest, neither Phil Jackson nor Doc Rivers could coach these guys to a 0.500 season.

Ataf 12-23-2010 09:05 AM

Is he that bad? GET HIIIM !! TANKKK:dancing:

No way Jose

Admiral 12-23-2010 12:10 PM

what would that accomplish? so we'd be paying for another coach that would cost even more than the head coach right now and paying the rest of the current coach's contract??
we'd get a coach that is known to just ride veterans to wins when our goal here is to develop the young guys! and most coaches that are older and more experienced usually just sit on their asses and let the players do everything as they're really not that motivated to achieve anything anymore
and this still brings up back to the argument of how valuable you think a coach actually is to the team winning, which i personally think the value is low

FoldedLaundry 12-23-2010 11:07 PM

I don't see the point in hiring him. We're a young team with a young coach. I think it would be better for the team to stay together.
