Default Should we be concerned? even a tiny bit?

So theres about one week to go until the curtain drops and the season officially begins, and i've noticed something.... Even in pre-season standings, the top teams all have winning records;
Boston, Cleveland, Orlando, SAS, LAL, Utah, Atlanta, Phoenix, Dallas, etc.

then i look at our 2-5 record, and i look at the other 'losing' records around the association and i notice all of these teams have one thing in common - they either suck or they didnt make the playoffs last season...

I know its only preseason, but should we be concerned at all?
the trend seems to be more than a coincidence. the top teams just seem to win, preseason or not, and the crappier teams seem to always lose, pre-season or not.

Tell me this doesnt worry any of you?
and i'm sure i'll hear - 'its just preseason, preseason means nothing'.... but when i see the top teams (expected to do well this season) all with winning records, and the shitty teams all with losing records, flags start raising immediately and i get a tad worried.

one week to go... and im already feeling negative.
someone, hold me.... tell me why i shouldnt be concerned.

doesn't look like triano has a system on offense, he's surprising us during the season
we'll see what happens
but the defense you see is the defense that will be played all year, that should worry people

Sorry man, I can't tell you that you shouldn't be concerned.
Things just haven't looked very good so far. Although, the number of new players needing to gel and the fact that Bosh, Wright and Turk have been out for portions of camp, are valid excuses. I'm sure we all hoped they would be able to put it together by now and be ready for Cleveland next week, but I looks like it may take longer.
Doc had a really good point in a post yesterday when he said that something just doesn't feel right about this squad on the floor right now.
You have to be pumped for the season to begin though. Even if they suck we'll still all have lots to talk about.

its just preseason, preseason means nothing.

Start worrying all you want, but at the end of the day we're still tied for first.

Remember BC's first year? We went 8-1 in preseason...then started what 2 - 12 or something? The good teams have deeper more talented benches...which account for most of the minutes in preseson. I'm not at all surprised they tend to have better records.

i'm a bit worried because they look the exact same defensivly. Soft, lazy on switch's , no defensve pressence in the paint, mouthguards all around ect. Any chances at winning are gonna come by firepower

the reason i'm only a bit worried is because i don't have huge expectations, looking for .500 ball and a late seed in the playoffs.
3 things that can take this team to the next level
A. Bosh ups his game and becomes a superstar elite
B. Bargnani ups his game and becomes a legit 20/8
C. Derozan developes early and takes on the role of a defensive stopper

without one of these coming true, i'm not expecting much

Shaq wears a mouth guard, so does Lebron, and Wade...

What's your point?

its not aout panicking... its about being maybe being concerned that we arent going to be as competitive as we thought.
sure its way too early to tell, but when the top teams are dominating (pre-season, i know), and the crap teams are playing crappy, somethings gotta be more than a coincidence, dont you think?

Shaq started wearing one recently, got old and soft. Didn't have one when he was winning titles.
Lebron is a coward, could average 40 ppg if he wanted to with that roided up frame. Plus he needs the mouthpeice because it he chews his fingernails in front of millions.
I didn't know wade wore a mouthguard but its not too suprising giving how he wears football pads and vollyball knee pads on the court.

let me know when the rapist bean starts wearing a mouthpiece
let me know when MJ is pulling out his UFC mouthpiece to hoist one of his 6 titles.

Brandon roy, warrior
paul peirce a warrior
I hate tim duncan but a warrior
what do these guys have in common?

Most of these top teams have been playing with a full squad all pre-season. Bosh, Turkoglu and Wright have sat a lot...In Wright's case he has yet to play. If Wright wins the starting spot then that's three starters who have played very little thus far...

I'm not sure why you would be negative. This team has a lot more talent than last years team. I think you need to come to terms with the fact that its going to take time for these guys to come together as a group. A rough start and strong finish seems like a likely scenario to me.

You really are the best, but the rapist doesn't wear one because then he can't be seen sticking his tongue out like a certain player who he tries to emulate in every way possible.

All of the teams that Insider listed have been playing together for YEARS and haven't made any major changes to their rosters.

Why wouldn't they have have great records... even in pre-season?

Believe it or not, I'm not at all sold on this team just yet. Concern? Sure.

But honestly, who knows, you can be concerned all day, but what would you then offer as an immediate solution to change your concerns???

Evans being out 4 months concerns me.
