Okay, this season is over. I doubt it if we even make the playoffs this year, so why don't we tank it. We could draft a decent wingman such as Steph Curry or Brandan Jennings or Blake Griffin. Then we could start build to a bright future for next season and beyond. I'd rather have this than lose in the 1st round AGAIN! All we need to do is get BC to notice the value of draft picks.

Next years starting 5:
Calderon
Draft pick/Parker
Draft Pick/free agent wing
Bosh
Bargs

Looks good to me

stephen curry is way too small to be effective in the nba. he's not a wing player at all and would get torched by nba calibre swing players.

and no, no one should tank. gotta play 'em 'till they're over.

Come on, even if you build for next year, you have to build without Calderon. His defense is killing us. All this switch on everybody D by JT is because of Jose.

Let's hold off on the tank talk for at least another 20-30 games or so. The Raps are definitely not out of the playoff picture yet, and let's not forget the Golden State vs. Dallas playoff series a couple of seasons ago, anything can happen in an NBA season to make it pleasantly memorable, so tanking is rarely a good idea (if ever).

Turrible draft and we're only 2.5 games out. Nah I'd rather ride this out, have a fun playoff run and series hopefully, get some more experience for the guys. I mean I never expected a chance in the first round from the beginning, unlike some. We would've had to beat either Boston, Cleveland, Orlando, or Detroit, we never had a shot.

I don't know if you've watched Stephen Curry at all, but the guy won't be able to translate his game to the NBA. Far too small and unathletic.

The draft is weak this year, don't tank.

have you watched steph curry play at all this year? he is playing as a scoring point instead of a shooting guard.

If you tank you get a high pick.

If you compete every game to win and succeed you get free agents and re signing of your top players. What free agent wants to come to a loosing team?

If we get someone in the draft it should be Jeff Teague/Holiday or DeRozan

Easy Chicken Little, we're not even half way through the season yet. Still plenty of basketball to be played and as much as I'd love a lottery pick, this summer's draft is nothing to get excited about.

Playoffs or bust baby.

um, since when are we the Oklahoma Thunder?
we're 3 games outta the playoffs. we the hell would 'tanking' the season even cross your mind?
theres nothing worse than a quitter. if you have that give-up mentality you're an idiot. sure, you get a higher pick in the draft, but then you end up losing the respect of your players and possible free agents around the league who will refuse to play for a loser club. we already have it tough being north of the border, we dont need to give potential FA's any more excuses for not wanting to play in Toronto.

hmmm, great arguement.

memo to league:
anyone who loses to OKC must forfeit their season.

</sarcasm>

you do realize what 3 games out of a playoff spot means right?
forget it, i'm not even going to bother argueing with someone with such a quitter mentality.
have fun playing with your Vince Carter Bobblehead.

And then a week later we beat one of the best teams in the East in Orlando without our starting PG & C. What's your point?

This is crazy talk, the Raps just got beat by the reigning champs in 2 close games. Even if the Celtics are going through a rough patch, this still has to mean something, namely that we can compete.
If we can make it to the playoffs, which i am sure can be done, we could still have a good series. Look at the Hawks last year, scraped in then took the Celtics to 7 games, ok they lost but i could live with that. Do you think Hawk fans, all 15 of them, would trade last years 1st round exit for a top pick in the draft...hell no! We need to get behind the team and stop being so negative.

In terms of revenue it's much more profitable for MLSE to make the playoffs, which im sure is what they will push for.

yup. you hit the nail on the head with that one.
the amount of money that can be made from a playoff series (or two, if we're lucky) is astronomical.

WOW already thinking of tanking. We have long ways to go but I think we might be able to make it up to the 6th seed if we keep on playing good. Plaus next years draft sucks
