Default Should BC try to steal AP back

Since BC saved the bird rights and MLE by turning the Turkoglu deal into a trade, should he make an 11th hour offer to AP.

Rather then letting Cavaliers sign AP as a free agent, BC could sign AP for bench scoring or sign and trade him for another asset.

I think it makes sense to sign AP. Possibly clear some bench space by bundling Banks with some expiring contracts so they can get Kleiza + Rasho.

Why am I not a huge AP fan?

Is it only me?

I don't know...but just for the sake of it, I think BC should totally do it! I will laugh out loud for sure!

Haha then we'll sign Jordan Crawford and put him in to dunk on LeBron. He will tear up, curl up in the corner, and demand the NBA destroy all evidence of the game.

Not real big fan or AP either, but the sheer joy of getting lebron a little pissed makes my day

No.

But S & T with the Cavs would be great. I'd go for Eyenga.

Christian Eyenga: Amazing | De Nieuwe CoachBox

Unsigned rookie. Super athletic. Will probably stay overseas for 1 or 2 years... not sure. Drafted 30th.

No it's not just you. He's lost quite a bit the last few seasons. And is more and more inconsistent. As a person he's great, but please no. Plus he's going to be a Cav in a matter of hours so i just don't see it happening, thank god.

LOL, let's not get carried away here. Anthony did a good job in Toronto and I'm sure Colangelo would love to have him stay on but don't think for a second he's going to take a pass on playing for a team that has Shaq and James.

LOL then don't look at it as signing AP for the Raptors bench. BC could go to AP's agent and say "I'll offer you $6.5 Mil in a sign and trade to the Cavalliers". Then see if Cavaliers want AP enough to give something back...

I think that weither Delfino or Parker would be important pieces for next year.

I don't really value one or the other, and don't want both.

Still it would be pretty funny if Parker backed out from Cleveland. what's next? flying pigs?

Or the Raptors could simply sit down with the Cavs and both sides could talk S&T with the hopes of saving salary space for a MLE player or to keep the clubs below luxury tax.

I know Daniel Gibson would fit what the Raptors are trying to do.

Sure but imo adding two slow aging players like Shaq & AP isn't gonna make them much better. We'll see, i'm probably wrong. I just don't know if Shaq will work in Cleveland.

I wouldn't rule it out. AP loves the city and his teamates.

The Cavs play the half court, they don't run much. Shaq has always been slow, he's never staked his name to being fast. He draws a lot of attention and so does James. There are going to be alot of open shots for those around them. Mo Williams is going to have a career year, more so than last year even. If Parker lands there expect his FG% to rebound to what it was a couple seasons ago. In other words, expect Parker to become lethal from the perimeter again.
