Question Should Andrea start over JO?

Ever since Jermaine went down, Bargnani has definetly stepped up his game.Which brings up the question; when JO returns from his injury, do you think that Bargnani still deserves to start at the 5?

Thoughts?

JO would work better off the bench where he could dominate the touches and not get in Bosh's way IMO.

Regardless though I think he's going to be traded within the next couple weeks. BC loves Bargs so much, I'm betting that he's *dieing* to move JO and make Bargs the starting C permanently after this stretch. The question is which trade.

Bargnani should be a starter and that is probably happen with this we are gonna have a solid back up and he will do all of his stupid shot without influencing Chris Bosh

Bargs is our starting Center...i think he's proving himself more and more everyday...everytime Bargs did something big in the 4th, they'd show a shot of colangelo lol and he was most of the time on his phone...shit's going down

It's been fun JO, but the experiments over

While I would rather have JO stay here I do agree that he should come off the bench. Doing this would limit JO's minutes since he's injury prone and it would help mask the lack of depth on the Rap's Bench. Putting him as the focus on offense in the 2nd unit will slow down the tempo of the game allowing for less posessions to the opposing team. This also gives the starters much needed rest without risk of having to come back in when the opposing team makes a run.

The Raps are playing well right now but that is because of their high shooting percentage. Everyone here knows that they will not shoot that well for the rest of the season. That's where JO's post up game becomes valuable to us. You need those high percentage shots to stabilize an offense when your shots aren't falling.

I don't see where we will get equal value for JO in any trade right now. Guy plays well on BOTH ends of the floor and his contract comes off the books in 2010 why wouldn't we want him here?

We have to see if Bargnani still provides his numbers if O'neal starts.

In A perfect world you ride Bargnani until he fizzles out and bring J.O off the bench. But given Jermaine and history I am not sure if that will be good. Bargnani said that it is not about starting to him that it is about minutes but I am not sure I but that.

Here is what I do know though how Jay Triano handles this will define this season and define his chances of remaining as the head coach beyond this season.

Bargnani doesn't care about starting. He carers about minutes, I DO buy that.

Starting is for the ego, Bargnani has shown he really doesn't give a damn about that stuff. Minutes are for guys that want to be on the floor playing the game. As long as Bargnani is getting quality minutes, and extended enough that he has time to miss a few and heat up, he's gonna be happy. Look at last night. He sat for a while, then came out and bricked a shot, turned it over, then missed a layin over Mayo. But those 4 touches, and the fact that Triano doesn't fragment his minutes like Mitchell did, allowd him to gather it up, and find his range, like every other star in the league. He then tore it up for another 8 points or so in about 3 minutes.

depends on how Boston comes out.

and how the team comes out.

they have to be ready for much more acrtive defence, but if they stay on thier course, and play agressive, they will be rewarded at the foul line.

one thing is for sure, if Parker and Kapono do NOT show up, Bosh and Barganani will suffer.

Andrea should start over JO, but will he? No. JO's ego is too big but it doesn't matter 'cause by the looks of things he's going to be moved in the next few weeks. Although JO was playing well before the injury it was good he went down because Andrea is thriving in his spot.

I think the most important thing for Bargnani is the kind of minutes, and being able to take the big shots at the end of games, more than starting.

I'm not sure when Sam was "fragmenting" Bargs' minutes this season. That's been on Triano, so lets not be utterly revisionist here. Yes Sam pulled him in and out last season, but this season he did everything to be able to play him more. That's what playing him at the 3 was all about. It's pretty easy with JO not playing. If Bargnani goes back to the meaningless minutes that Jay was giving him before then I fear another regression.

I agree that Triano's future rides on this situation to a great extent, but I also think he is where he is right now due to JO. Can he bite the hand that feeds him? Does he have real authority over the 20 mill guy? We'll see.
