Scola would've considered a sign and trade to come to Toronto

Quote:
Scola said he also would have considered agreeing to a sign-and-trade to Toronto had the Rockets been able to land Chris Bosh.

"I tried not to think about it," Scola said. "If you want to be in sign-and-trade, I would have to say yes.

"I wanted to play in the NBA. This contract guarantees I'm going to play in the NBA a lot more years, seven or eight years overall. I think that for me means a lot. I reached a goal. I knew Houston wanted me here. I knew it was going to be done somehow."

Wow. I wonder if he was the piece coming to the Raptors in that 4-team sign and trade.

Remember when we could of got Andrew Bynum?

And I have no interest in Scola. Especially beside Bargnani.

Scola is a good player but rather happy we didn't get him.

I don't see how Scola is on par with the deals that fell through. All he is saying is that he would have agreed to come to Toronto. It doesn't say anything about there actually being any substantial deal in place.

And really the way this Miami Heat thing played out, I would think that none of these other teams (Houston, NY, Toronto) really had much of a chance.

yeah, that would've been the worst scenario. just watch him play for couple of months and demanding for trade.

Are you saying you'd rather have Bynum and his glass knee over Scola?

scola is hella good and knows how to use his size. remember in the playoffs when the rockets took lakers to game 7 and almost every game scola out played pau in the post.

Coulda, shoulda, woulda. These dudes cracked this scheme at the 08 olympics.
We had no shot at re-signing him, or trading him to Houston OR LA.

How is this treadworthy? The guy says he would have considered agreeing to NOT sit out or had a hissy fit if traded. He doesn't even imply that he he knows for sure if he would have been a part of it.

Listen dude, it's Raptors-related. It's also a long summer. So relax.

Bynum is a better player than Scola now and has a lot more potential still, he's 8 years younger, and would of fit better beside Bargnani (Scola is 6-9).

So yes.

The title is a little misleading. Would've signed and would have CONSIDERED IT are two different things.

I worship at the shrine of Scola. Well not quite. But had the Rockets beaten the Lakers two seasons ago, that shrine would have been built. I wouldn't have been able to help myself at that point. I thought it was going to happen to.

Kind of off topic, I remember everyone was bashing Bynum in a potential Bosh/Bynum trade, now that we got fuck all I wonder what everyone is thinking
