Sam will not coach for few games...

Sam's father in law passed away so he left to be with family... in the mean time assistants will coach next few games... he will be back after All-Star break.

Good opportunity to see how Raps will fare without Sam on the bench.

That's sad.

I'm excited to see Jay coach on Wednesday though.

It is, but it could also be misleading. Typically when, ie. a coach is fired, the team plays better at first and sucks it up, but over the long term unless the coach is substantially better, it usually evens out over time.

If we go like 3-0 or something, I can see a bunch of "fire Sam" threads popping up even though it would probably not benefit us to go through a coaching change at this time.

We could always make Jose the coach.

So far..not off to a good start.

Acie 02-12-2008 08:07 AM

I'm actually still waiting for someone to somehow pin the loss on Sam.

Well in that event it would be a way of complimenting him then wouldn't it? :) One thing that may have changed the outcome is sam's yelling at his playesr thorughout the game to get them motivated...from what i saw of the game they weren't all that motivated looking at times. Damn Sam for not doing his job!

HOw'd i do?

This pertains to Evans coaching last night but out of curiosity why did Mike put in Dixon in the 3rd quarter? Is TJ hurt already because that was a big loss of momentum when Jose came out and Juan went in. :(

MangoKidHoops 02-12-2008 09:10 AM

Apparently, TJ is really sore feeling the effects of coming back and might not play Wednesday night.

Are you serious? Any word on how long this injury is going to keep him out for?

Spurs grind Raptors

Evans didn't look out of place, made some key timeouts and was added a smaller deck when T.J. Ford was forced to leave the game when he banged up his right wrist.
;)

That's the unique I know
