Default Sam Smith: Bosh/Jack for Bynum/Odom?

Quote:
The Lakers also are expected to enter the picture with a bid for Bosh as it became clear in the Finals they need more scoring. And you can be sure they don’t want to see a LeBron/Bosh pairing in Chicago with Rose and Noah to go against. The Raptors would like to get something in a sign-and-trade for Bosh, but they likely won’t deal him in the East. The Lakers are expected to offer Andrew Bynum, a legitimate low post center, and Lamar Odom, and take back Jarrett Jack, whom the Raptors would like to move.

Then the Raptors move Andrea Bargnani to power forward and they have a good nucleus. Bosh wouldn’t have to play center with Pau Gasol in L.A. A big issue with Bosh is not playing center, which he might have to do in Miami or New York. Remember, once you sign your leverage is gone. So Bosh isn’t rushing to teams with no center. The Cavs would like to get him in a sign and trade with Toronto, but it seems unlikely without giving up Anderson Varejao. And then Cleveland would have no center. Shaq? C’mon.
http://www.nba.com/bulls/news/smith_100628.html

He brings up a good point about Bosh's comments on playing power forward exclusively. Chicago(Noah), L.A(Gasol) and Houston(Ming) look like they're the only teams that can follow thru on that promise with full-time centers already in place. Miami has no one, nor does New York or Washington.

What if a team like Miami with room to bring in two guys, brings in Yao as well?

did ming opt not to take his PO? houston would be shooting themselves in the foot revenue-wise if they were trading him for a measly TPE.

Ming to TO!

all joking aside, Ming and Bargs would make a great front court pairing.

He has until July 1st to decide.

They've also started negotiating an extension, but are said to be in disagreement over the length.

I highly doubt they'll let him walk or he'll decide to leave, but stranger things have happened.

Would the Lakers rerally include Odom in a deal? Not that I'm complaining, cause I would totally do the Bynum and Odom for Bosh-Jack deal. Then again, it is Sam Smith, so you gotta take what he says with a truckload of salt. If it were true, I'd immediately try to flip Hedo and put Odom at the 3. That's some real length in the front court.

I don't think the Lakers are stupid enough to trade Odom, he was a big factor in the finals.

I would probably do it, but would definately look to move Lamar to another team for more pieces. Cant see any way that Lamar wants to be in Toronto. He wast to stay somewhere in Cali.

Wonder if he would go to GS?
Cause I bet he would get Ellis and some filler.

Ellis
Demar
Hedo
Bargs
Bynum

Again, I cant see any way that Lamar would accept being a Raptor.

Ellis and Hedo on the same team? really? That's a recipe for disaster.
ANd I'm sure the Warriors could get a better offer for Ellis than Odom.

Seriously? you think so. I would think that Deal is pretty fair.

And I cant see how Ellis and Hedo couldnt work out. I have tried but I cant see how it wouldnt.

Rumors if trade goes through would add JO as back-up C
Odom would likely be moved after S&T

GSW is looking for value. They have Randolph, Udoh and Wright all at the same front court position. If they're dealing Ellis, it would probably be for a true wing player, and a younger (and cheaper) player than Ellis.

Of course you wouldn't see how it couldn't work out. Both guys NEED the ball in their hands.

Default Bynum/Odom for Bosh/Jack?

Don't know how credible Sam Smith is but:

Curry needs the Ball in GS and ellis and he worked alright there.

And HEdo needs to facilitate, he could do that with Ellis still being here. But either way I would still want Hedo gone. In this senario his presence wouldnt be as bad but he would still be here.
